RACE ONE MORESCO (2) showed some arm hustle last start before taking cover and from the pocket trail was 7m in arears of the winner BIG SKEWY. Conditions look right for her to get across early and from the front she will take some stopping in this line up. GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1) was asked to grind it out first over last start at Marburg and faded after a tough trip. He gets back to The Triangle where his record is handy with a six-pack of victories, and he finds the right contest to challenge. LETTERKENNY BOY (8) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when down the line behind ARTFUL MAID. With the right cart into the contes, he is a podium chance in this. TE QUIRO (4) fired out to look for an all the way win when resuming from a spell two runs back but could not finish them off. Beaten by the outside second line gate last time, she can feature here. SELECTIONS: MORESCO (2), GLENLEDI COMMANDER (1), LETTERKENNY BOY (8), TE QUIRO (4) SUGGESTED BET: MORESCO (2) to win
RACE TWO KORLOFF NOIR (1) has raced at Marburg and The Creek in recent starts where she has been well covered and struck much stronger rivals. Back to this deck where her record is 7: 2-2-1 and from the gate to get the ideal trip in behind the speed, she gets the chance to make the closing shot a winner. LULU LUCIFER (5) was buried in the run here two starts back and was able to grab the bronze behind SUBSTITOOTH. Midfield and only 6m from the winner last start when eased from gate 6 to be deep field, she can be trying to make a play for the prize. HE SAID SHE SAID (8) fired out from gate 1 last start and looked for an all the way effort but could not finish them off when finishing midfield. Following through, he is a podium hope. MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) will be second up from a spell and is better suited off the front line but with one shot at them can chase some minor money in this. SELECTIONS: KORLOFF NOIR (1), LULU LUCIFER (5), HE SAID SHE SAID (8), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) SUGGESTED BET: KORLOFF NOIR (1) to win
RACE THREE IDEAL TIGER (3) was not suited from a second line gate last time out at Marburg which followed a midfield return here after being sent out as fav from gate 1. A gritty 3rd three starts back, it has been a while since he claimed a win on this deck but he might just get the chance to take this. MY CRACKLING ROSIE (4) takes her first look in a race here at The Triangle after her two race appearances in Qld have both been at HQ. With a smart trial on this deck sandwiched between those runs, the Hewitt stable is firing and despite giving away experience, she can issue a challenge. CAMROLLER (5) was asked to sit parked last start and after a tough trip faded in the closing stages. Just a head from the winner here two starts back, the gate makes it an awkward task. SAILALONG SINBAD (2) was a Marburg winner three runs back when taking control early and fighting them off. Wilting last start, he is a five-time winner here and has the gate to feature. SELECTIONS: IDEAL TIGER (3), MY CRACKLING ROSIE (4), CAMROLLER (5), SAILALONG SINBAD (2) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FOUR
ONE LAST ROLL (3) faced a second line gate last time at Marburg and wide off the track over the latter stages could not get into the contest. Fading two starts back, he can look to press the button early here and if happens to get the front cheaply, he will be hard to hold out. MALINJANG (7) tackled a handy field in a Trot Rods event two starts back and faded out with a wheel issue not aiding his chances. Closing out hard last start to get within a head of the winner, he will be probing for openings to issue a challenge here. DONNY JONES (1) features in a stable change with his latest effort a sound return from the second line at Marburg. With the improved alley, he can chase a better result. JOHNROD (8) is a grinding type so will likely need a few runs to wind back up after a recent spell. With three runs back, the latest when parked at Marburg, he can look to make a podium play here. SELECTIONS: ONE LAST ROLL (3), MALINJANG (7), DONNY JONES (1), JOHNROD (8) SUGGESTED BET: MALINJANG (7) win/place
RACE FIVE THE HARRIS HAWK (4) has been forced to graft it out first over at each of his past two runs, the latest at Marburg when fading to finish midfield. IN for the fight when 2m away here two starts back, he can look to dart across and finds conditions to capitalise. CIRCLE LINE (6) was able to overcome the outside second line last start when saved for one run and owning the best finishing power secured a 1m margin. The gate makes it another tough ask but he keeps on keeping on and can work in the run if required to challenge. BETTING BARON (9) was not suited when asked to sit outside the leader last time out and as a result he wilted in the latter stages. Saved for a closing raid, he can grab some minor money here. DUKE (1) resumed from a spell in perfect order two starts back when overcoming a second line gate to land the prize at Marburg. Gate 6 here was his undoing last start with the gate a huge help this time. SELECTIONS: THE HARRIS HAWK (4), CIRCLE LINE (6), BETTING BARON (9), DUKE (1) SUGGESTED BET: THE HARRIS HAWK (4) to win
RACE SIX JAKKI MUN (6) missed the money for the first time on this deck here five runs back when eased early and unable to get warm in the closing stages. Campaigning at HQ in his past four outings, the latest behind ARODA, he should appreciate a return to this deck and some tempo can see him arrive. MISTER WOODPORT (3) was sent to the post as fav last time out and was forced to retreat to secure position over the Marburg 1850. Making a late raid to grab the bronze, he can get forward here to settle handy and near the action can issue a challenge. BULLDOG BRAWLER (1) was first up for the new stable last time out when beaten by the outside second line gate. With the big improvement in alleys, he can be right in the fight. THE GROGMOTHER (4) was luckless over the AP mile two starts back and followed that with a sub-par effort after fading when setting the tempo. The gate hurts but she can be sharper. SELECTIONS: JAKKI MUN (6), MISTER WOODPORT (3), BULLDOG BRAWLER (1), THE GROGMOTHER (4) SUGGESTED BET: JAKKI MUN (6) to win
RACE SEVEN WHATA REACTOR (7) was flat last start and despite a soft trip in behind the speed, faded out to trail the field home. Midfield two starts back when sitting parked, she maps for the easy trip again here and if able to turn it around, finds the opposition for a bounce back. CANNAN (1) joins the Chloe Butler stable and resumes from a spell for this battle. Pressing forward to lead from gate 5 here three runs back, he has the hustle to keep them wide here and finds the right set up to chase a victory first up. MISS PAU (8) started from gate 1 last start and was soon shuffled back in the run and never a factor behind MAFFIOSO GIRL. Tracking into this, she can look to make a play in an open contest. LORD DENZEL (4) settled in the 1x1 trail here four runs back and with the smother trip was making some late ground to finish 3m from the winner DESTINY BLUES. He can look to chime in here. SELECTIONS: WHATA REACTOR (7), CANNAN (1), MISS PAU (8), LORD DENZEL (4) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE EIGHT TODAYS HERO (4) was sent forward to sit parked from gate 4 at Marburg two starts back where he was grafting it out and in for the fight was just 2m in arrears of the winner. A beaten fav last start, he can go on with it here and strikes a winnable contest. MAMMALS DESTINY (8) was a winner here two starts back after covering plenty of track in pressing forward to get position. Gate 6 was her undoing last time out and if she can get the right cart through cheaply here, can throw down a challenge. THE MACH ARMY (2) was luckless last start on the Little M when tucked in behind the speed and never spotting the gap to make a play. He will be handy enough to make a play for the prize. MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (5) SELECTIONS: TODAYS HERO (4), MAMMALS DESTINY (8), THE MACH ARMY (2), MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (5) SUGGESTED BET: TODAYS HERO (4) to win
RACE NINE
MELTON MAX GENTLE (3) has now had three runs back from a spell and might just have found the conditions here for a breakthrough. Unable to get across last start at Marburg, he can look for the lamp lighting duties here and take his opportunity. BELLA GODIVA (9) has started from outside the front line at her past two starts and retreated when the light came on in each of those. With the chance to follow through cheaply this time, she can settle easily and look to issue a challenge in a race that looks to have any number of hopes. LEAPING LEO (2) should take some benefit from his latest appearance where he was resuming from a spell. On a five-year win drought, he can settle close enough to grab a cheque. KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (8) lands another second line gate after his past two have been from the back line. In the second half of the pack in each of those, he can follow through here for a minor. SELECTIONS: MELTON MAX GENTLE (3), BELLA GODIVA (9), LEAPING LEO (2), KEAYANG SPONGE BOB (8) SUGGESTED BET: MELTON MAX GENTLE (3) to win
RACE TEN
PROSPECTUS (6) features in a stable change to join the Chloe Butler stable as she resumes from a spell. Tackling much stronger opposition last campaign, her last appearance was a midfield return behind JIULLIBY CHAMBERS. Despite the wide gate, she strikes a winnable contest fresh up. WATERLINE (8) finally found the conditions to claim an overdue first win of the season when overcoming a second line gate to claim the prize over the AP mile. Just 4m from the handy MISS BAY KING COLE three back with subsequent winner MULLUM RUBY finishing in 2nd, she has the race fitness edge to challenge. GOTTA DREAM (9) grabbed the silver last start at Marburg after racing in the 1x1 trail. Well covered by the slick FOR REAL LIFE the start prior, he has place claims from the tough gate. MAJORMISS (3) overcame the second line to score here three runs back in a race where she defeated subsequent winner SHESFEELINSPECIAL. From the good gate she is in the mix. SELECTIONS: PROSPECTUS (6), WATERLINE (8), GOTTA DREAM (9), MAJORMISS (3) SUGGESTED BET: PROSPECTUS (6) to win
