RACE ONE
LUXURY LAD (1) was a winner from this gate over this trip two starts back when burrowing through to hold the front and take them all the way. Gunned down in front last start, he can be in front here and controlling the tempo secures his chance to see it out. BETTER SHUSH (8) was taking his first look at Redcliffe last start when sent out as the fav from this same alley. Trying to launch the closing raid when holding 2nd but coming up 3m short of the winner. He can follow through again here and with the right trip be ready to challenge. O B LEGAL (5) should appreciate a return to the peninsula after fading out over the 2138 at HQ last time out. A winner here three ruins back, the gate hurts but tempo should be in his favour. BETTOR ROMANCE (9) made the most of the soft trip behind the speed last start and when produced had the speed to arrive. Dropping to the poles looks a play here for her to chime in. SELECTIONS: LUXURY LAD (1), BETTER SHUSH (8), O B LEGAL (5), BETTOR ROMANCE (9) SUGGESTED BET: LUXURY LAD (1) to win
RACE TWO GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (1) found the pocket trail last start over the AP mile and was not too far from the winner AMAMI in a much stronger contest than she meets here. Three of her four career wins have been on this deck and from the gate she lands all the options to adda another to the tally. GOLDIES A DELIGHT (3) was sent three wide with over a lap to travel last start but with no breeze available was left posted. Game to the line when fighting hard and holding on for the silver, her record on this deck is good and she has the gate to throw it down. MISS MIA (7) powered home from back in the pack here two starts back and arrived from outside the second line for a tidy win. With the smother trip here, she will be probing for the gaps. FLO RYDA (2) is never too far away and from this gate can be handy enough to the action to feature. Chasing hard for 3rd to CAPTAINS PICK two back, he is in the mix again here. SELECTIONS: GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (1), GOLDIES A DELIGHT (3), MISS MIA (7), FLO RYDA (2) SUGGESTED BET: GEIRANGER RAINBOWS (1) to win
RACE THREE SO AM I (3) eased from gate 4 at his latest appearance and was attacking the line strongly when 5m from the winner ARAMA REACTOR. Unable to go with them two starts back, he can look to be closer to the action here and with the right set up finds a race to stake a claim. BLACKJACK BART (6) chalked up another minor here last start to take his tally to 11 placings this season. Trying to mount a passing lane raid when 1m from the winner SPORT MENTAL, it followed a strong close out from deep field after retreating from gate 5. He can be challenging again. ART ON FIRE (2) has been just out of the money in both appearances since arriving in Qld. Eased from gate 6 last start before trying to make a late raid, he can settle closer here to make a play. BETTYS GOLD CLASS (4) is still chasing her first victory of the season, but it does not look too far away after placing at her past two from second line gates. A return to the front line is favourable. SELECTIONS: SO AM I (3), BLACKJACK BART (6), ART ON FIRE (2), BETTYS GOLD CLASS (4) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FOUR
MUSIC MOTH (6) has no favours from the wide gate after finishing out of the money at her past two starts. A winner at her first Qld appearance, second up she was not too far from the in-form AMAMI. A little hard to gauge where she is up to, if the real Music Moth turns up, she is up to this. FRAYA (1) resumes from a spell after her last appearance came back in May when tackling the Breeders Final. Beaten by a wide gate in that contest, she was game in defeat two starts back when parked. With the gate advantage, she can issue the challenge fresh. NOT THE KINGSWOOD (7) has been runner-up at his past two starts, the latest when settled int eh trail from this same gate and finishing 4m from the winner. He will be probing again here. ROCK HAMMER (8) sat parked here last week and although not looking entirely comfortable, was still grafting it out in the stretch when 5m from the winner. With the right trail he can feature. SELECTIONS: MUSIC MOTH (6), FRAYA (1), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (7), ROCK HAMMER (8) SUGGESTED BET:
RACE FIVE FOR NO REASON (1) faced a wide gate last start and was required to cover plenty of The Triangle when racing wide off the track yet she held 2nd and was not too far from the winner. A gritty winner when parked here five runs back, she has all the options from this alley. VALLANI MAGIC (3) fired off the arm here last time from this same gate and was trying to see it out from the front but faded late to finish with the bronze, 3m astern of the winner SIR BOSTON. A winner three runs back, she can look for the front to throw down the challenge., ENGLISH DANCE (7) returns from a spell after his last appearance in the Breeders Final when down the line behind REGAZZO DI TILLY. Placed his previous four in succession, a soft trip appeals fresh. ULTIMATE CHANCE (9) was able to overcome a wide gate at Marburg last start when forcing the issue to get forward and claim a gritty victory. She can be thereabouts again here. SELECTIONS: FOR NO REASON (1), VALLANI MAGIC (3), ENGLISH DANCE (7), ULTIMATE CHANCE (9) SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-7-9
RACE SIX WONDERWOMAN JUJON (1) has been a shade below her best in recent appearances, but she gets the opportunity to turn it all around here. With some wide gates conspiring against her, the latest from outside the second line, she can burrow through here and look to grab another victory. SHADYS DELIGHT (8) should appreciate the early scratching to move to the inside second and with the soft trip behind the likely leader will be awaiting the lane to issue his challenge. Wide off the track last start when chasing a hat-trick of victories, it looks to set up perfectly here. MISSTREPO (4) has placed in three of her past four starts when making a closing raid and from this gate can slide back searching for a cheap run and some short cuts to add another minor to the tally. MOUNT HERCULES (5) eased from this same gate last week and with the right tempo was able to arrive in time to claim victory. A similar set up can yield a similar return. SELECTIONS: WONDERWOMAN JUJON (1), SHADYS DELIGHT (8), MISSTREPO (4), MOUNT HERCULES (5) SUGGESTED BET: WONDERWOMAN JUJON (1) to win
RACE SEVEN SKYGIRL (6) is just a 2YO tackling the older performers from the wide gate but strikes the right opposition to defy the set up. Holding on for 3rd in her own age behind ELLIS STREET two starts back, she as beaten an eyelash last start in similar race to this. MISTER DELWIN (9) tackled a stronger contest last start and did his share of work before fading late to finish midfield. Placed at both prior outings, the gate affords him no favours but an early move to get into the battle can put him close enough to issue a challenge. CHAKANA (7) should get the easy trip behind the speed and will be awaiting some gaps to make a closing raid. Grabbing 3rd last start from three poles behind MILLIE FRANCIS, she will be probing. MINARUA (1) should appreciate an improved gate after starting wide off the front line at her past two attempts. With the chance to get the trip closer to the action, she is a podium hope. SELECTIONS: SKYGIRL (6), MISTER DELWIN (9), CHAKANA (7), MINARUA (1) SUGGESTED BET: SKYGIRL (6) to win
RACE EIGHT AWAYOVERNIGHT (6) faces an ask from this gate, but he was able to claim the prize from gate 5 here three runs back when forcing the issue to take control. Holding 3rd at Marburg at his next appearance, the inside second line stunted his chances last start. In an open contest, he can arrive. DATSINAHURRI (2) was a winner here five runs back when sent out deep into the red from gate 3 where she was able to lead throughout. Not a factor at her next three runs, she grabbed the bronze last start behind DUKE. With the gate to get prominent, the market will tell the tale. MAMMALS DESTINY (1) was a winner four runs back from gate 4 when eased before making a wider run to arrive for a 7m margin. Bd gates have hampered her chances since, and she can bounce back. MY CHINA DOLL (3) settled in the running line from gate 3 last time out and fought on to hold the bronze behind JUST ONE GOOD ONE at the 2040 trip. From this gate she can feature again. SELECTIONS: AWAYOVERNIGHT (6), DATSINAHURRI (2), MAMMALS DESTINY (1), MY CHINA DOLL (3) SUGGESTED BET: AWAYOVERNIGHT (6) to win
RACE NINE NAUTIE GALVINATOR (1) is a 2YO tackling older opposition here but looks like he might just have found the race to open the account. He kicked clear last week and looked to have it in the bag, only to be collared in the last stride. Burrowing through to keep them wide, this looks his chance. SHOOBEE RIGHT (6) was snagged off the arm last start to come with one late raid when finishing with the bronze behind THIS YANKEE ROCKS. Sent to sit parked in both prior runs when placing in each, he can throw down the challenge again here. MISS SYRAH (8) is another 2YO that just cannot seem to land an elusive maiden breaking victory. Sent to the front last start, she faded from the 400 and will need to improve here. LONG TIME COMING (3) eased from gate 5 last start and was strong to the line when going within a whisker of claiming victory. Midfield the start prior, building off the last start improvement, he has claims. SELECTIONS: NAUTIE GALVINATOR (1), SHOOBEE RIGHT (6), MISS SYRAH (8), LONG TIME COMING (3) SUGGESTED BET: NAUTIE GALVINATOR (1) to win
RACE TEN
LORD MEMNOCK (2) tackled the Redcliffe Sales Final last start after finishing as the runner-up in all three previous appearances. Striking trouble in the Final, he was a tidy 2nd to ELLIS STREET in his heat. IN this lien up, he secures every chance to capitalise. BLACKJACK CRIPPA (7) made some nice metres in the closing stages last start when runner-up behind the smart looking COSMIC FLYER. Too far back when down the line behind SYNCHRONIZER the start prior, he has the second line options to stake his claim. DREAM MELODY (5) has been out of the money in all three Qld appearances, with two of those when faced with a second line gate. Striking trouble last start behind GO COLOUR MY WORLD, she can chime in. DIGBY DEMON (4) was midfield last start in an APG heat after starting from gate 6 and chasing home behind BRONSKI ZULU. Taking his first look at The Triangle, he is a podium player. SELECTIONS: LORD MEMNOCK (2), BLACKJACK CRIPPA (7), DREAM MELODY (5), DIGBY DEMON (4) SUGGESTED BET: LORD MEMNOCK (2) to win
