RACE ONE

The early mapping looks a little confusing in this race which should be dominated by the 3Yos. Still on the ODM embargo, MAJOR ICON (11) forced the issue from gate 7 at the mile last start and led deep into the stretch, only to be collared late. He can do the work to prevail here.

AURORA JOY (9) was wide for a long way last time out after easing from gate 5 before making a sustained run and then pulling clear to claim a 13m margin. Asked to hang tough when parked two starts back and finishing 3m away, she can get the right trail to issue the challenge.

SPORTING RAGE (7) faced this same gate last start at the mile when retreating and then trying to make late ground when finishing midfield. A winner first up in Qld two back, he can feature.

SUNRISE RUBY (1) has only been over the 2138 here once where she was drawn wide on the second line. Drawn the back at her past two at Redcliffe, the inside gate here gives her podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR ICON (11), AURORA JOY (9), SPORTING RAGE (7), SUNRISE RUBY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR ICON (11) to win

RACE THREE

Still just a maiden tackling experienced performers, BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (7) faces the ODM embargo after making a mess of the start from the inside gate last time out. Tailing out, she made a stack of ground to close strongly and just miss the money. The wider gate can be a positive and she is up to the task.

SHADYS DELIGHT (10) was a Marburg winner two starts back when securing the 1x1 trail and then owning the closing speed to claim a narrow margin. Eased from a wide gate last start at Redcliffe before closing out in nice style for the bronze, he can be making a closing challenge in this.

DOOLITTLE DOZZIE (1) has been racing in consistent fashion, placing in seven of her past eight appearances. Just a neck from the winner last start, she has the gate to be in the mix once again.

SHEZA CRACKER (6) was trying to see it out from the front last start after taking control from gate 2. Gunned down and beaten a half-neck behind DELIGHTFUL RAINBOW, the gate makes it an ask.

SELECTIONS: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (7), SHADYS DELIGHT (10), DOOLITTLE DOZZIE (1), SHEZA CRACKER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (7) to win

RACE FOUR

A tough race to dissect here with early positions likely to be keenly contested. LITTLELIONELJAMES (6) was rattling home hard last start when beaten a flared nostril behind ROCKNROLL TIMES in a second division qualifier. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior, he can get the right trip to chime in.

IM BOO (8) was asked to sit parked here two starts back and despite a tough trip was able to hold on for the bronze. Stamped urgent from gate 6 last start, he powered up to take control in a 26.2 opening panel and did not stop running, sizzling around the oval in 1.51.6. He can throw it down if working free.

KHULAN KID (5) eased to the fence from outside the second line last start and was strong to the line over the latter stages for the silver as IM BOO carved it out in front. He can be joining in again here.

MISTER FONZI (7) lands the ODM embargo after causing a false start before darting through on the passing lane to score at the retake. The gate hurts but he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LITTLELIONELJAMES (6), IM BOO (8), KHULAN KID (5), MISTER FONZI (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLELIONELJAMES (6) to win

RACE FIVE

Stepping up to Saturday night company last start, LUVBITE (2) burrowed through from the inside to lead them up but could not see it out, the swoopers arriving in the stretch to leave him unplaced. Leading throughout here two starts back, he finds the right conditions to dictate.

EURO BEAT (3) was not far from the winner STORMTIDE last start at Redcliffe before being disqualified in the steward’s room for a starting infringement. Strong to the line to score here three runs back, he was just a neck from the winner two starts back and can throw it down here.

GOTTA GO MILKING (6) claimed a metropolitan victory here three starts back and then was just a neck from the winner two back. Despite an awkward gate, he can make his presence felt.

BETTOR ROMANCE (1) was not too far from the winner WHATA ROLLER last start which followed a midfield result, despite being just 3m from the winner two starts back. An economical trip suits.

SELECTIONS: LUVBITE (2), EURO BEAT (3), GOTTA GO MILKING (6), BETTOR ROMANCE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LUVBITE (2) to win

RACE SIX

ROCCO VARIETY (1)
should appreciate a return to the mile after tackling the middle trip at Redcliffe last start. Sent forward to take control from gate 4, he was unable to see it out, fading to be 7m form the winner. Still chasing a first victory on this deck, he lands the options to capitalise.

IT AINT ROYAL (4) was sent to the front from gate 3 over this trip two starts back and in control was able to see it out with 9m to spare. Going too hard in front at the middle trip last start and then fading, a return to the mile in this line up can see him issue the challenge.

CRIME BOSS (8) was a winner three starts back when buried in the run before sprinting hard to score when the gap opened. With another economical trip from this gate, he can be chiming in when the gaps arrive.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (10) will be first up from a spell and has joined the Trent Dawson stable during the break. With a trial to open the pipes in readiness for the return, he stays under notice fresh up.

SELECTIONS: ROCCO VARIETY (1), IT AINT ROYAL (4), CRIME BOSS (8), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (10)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-4-8-10

RACE SEVEN

A newcomer to Qld that joins the Shawn Grimsey stable, SERGIOS ROCKET (5) was last seen at Charlton in Vic when finishing at the rear. A Bendigo winner three starts back when showing good arm hustle from a wide gate and then taking the trail, she finds the right race first up in the Sunshine State.

GELDOF (4) was well supported in the market last start from a second line gate at Redcliffe. Sent forward to sit parked, he was in for the fight in finishing just a half-head from the winner. Runner-up in two of his previous three, he can force the issue here to make a challenge.

STUDLEIGH MARK (2) fired out before taking cover last start and from the trial held on for the bronze after making a passing lane play. From the gate he can be forward enough to feature.

IDEAL TIGER (1) was buried in the run last start before hitting the line in nice order to finish 6m from the winner ROLLE IN GOLD. With the cosy trip, he can be chasing a minor.

SELECTIONS: SERGIOS ROCKET (5), GELDOF (4), STUDLEIGH MARK (2), IDEAL TIGER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SERGIOS ROCKET (5) to win
