The Atherton Turf Club non-TAB race meeting scheduled for Saturday, April 20 has been abandoned due to the state of the track.
Almost 200m rainfall has been recorded at the track in the past 2 weeks causing sand from the inside training track to wash onto the main course proper. Although the sand has been removed from the course proper there are issues with the surface and it is not suitable for racing.
Due to the abandonment, additional races have been added to the Innisfail TC meeting on Saturday April 27. They are:
Open Hcp - 900m - $10,000
QTIS Benchmark 55 Hcp - 1500m - $10,000 plus QTIS.
Nominations for this meeting close at 11am Tuesday, April 23.
