Both today's Bundaberg RC and Yeppoon TC non-Tab meetings have been abandoned due to weather and state of the track.
Over 40mm of rain was recorded at the Bundaberg racetrack overnight making the track unsuitable for racing. The weather forecast is “very high chance of further rainfall from late this morning”.
This meeting was to feature a Battle of the Bush Qualifier and RQ will liaise with the club in regard to a future replacement date to stage this.
The club will still however stage a “phantom” betting meeting with all facilities available.
The heats of the “Fashion from Afar” competition will still be conducted today.
Rainfall today has impacted a section of the Yeppoon track at the 200m which had been utilized as a crossing to the infield, which was deemed not suitable for racing. Further rainfall is forecast for today.
RQ will monitor race programs in the coming weeks in the region and if necessary, will be aggressive with any division of races.
