RACE ONE

With his tilt at the main Derby curtailed by ending up in a less-than-ideal warm up race from an awkward gate, CHART TOPPER (1) can look to make his travel money in the consolation. Making good ground when he finally saw daylight last time, he has all the options to capitalise.

AIR EXPRESS (13) was strong to the line last time when just missing the minor money in the South East Derby Consolation. That followed an error at Redcliffe which ended his chances and with the longer trip here, he can be laying down a challenge.

LETTUCE NIPYA (8) maps for the shortest way home from the inside second line which aids his chances. Fading after working early last start, the softer trip will suit.

NOVANTA RISING (4) was a strong winner last start when parked in a midweek event at the mile and able to grind out the margin. He steps up to the longer trip but can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: CHART TOPPER (1), AIR EXPRESS (13), LETTUCE NIPYA (8), NOVANTA RISING (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CHART TOPPER (1) to win

RACE TWO

The consolation of the Blacks A Fake where DON HUGO (11) will be looking to claim his first victory in Qld this campaign. Game in defeat after working in the run and just a half-head from WISPER A SECRET, it followed a gritty effort when 3rd to DEUS EX. He can cash in.

BLUTO (12) came to Qld in good form, including a close 2nd to HECTOR over the 2300 at Menangle three starts back. Beaten a half-neck at his final run in NSW, he got it all wrong first up here at The Creek. Look for him to bounce back and throw it down.

KANENA PROVLIMA (2) was snagged off the arm last week before making some good metres to finish midfield behind JIMARTEE. He has the gate to be handy enough to chime in.

ARODA (9) has done a super job in recent starts and was chasing a hat-trick of victories in the Rising Sun when grabbing 3rd behind WISPER A SECRET. With the right trail, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DON HUGO (11), BLUTO (12), KANENA PROVLIMA (2), ARODA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: DON HUGO (11) to win

RACE THREE

Claiming the Rising Sun last start when first up in six weeks, WISPER A SECRET (4) should take good benefit from that run. In great form all season, he draws the best of what look the main players and can use that to advantage to find position and stake his claim for victory.

CAPTAINS KNOCK (10) has been strong in defeat in both Qld runs, wide off the track and not receiving the smoothest trip when 5m from WISPER A SECRET before his latest 2nd when working hard over the closing stages and beaten a blister in sub 1.50. He can challenge again.

ROCKNROLL HAMMER (9) was buried here last week from inside the second line when chasing home behind VAN BASTEN. Fading after some early work the start prior, he is right in the fight.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6) has had two starts since returning from his 4th in the Miracle Mile, and neither have been conclusive. Pulling hard and fading first up, he copped a flat tyre second up.

SELECTIONS: WISPER A SECRET (4), CAPTAINS KNOCK (10), ROCKNROLL HAMMER (9), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAINS KNOCK (10) each-way

RACE FOUR

With two wins since returning from a spell, MILLWOOD BLISS (3) lands the right gate to add a G1 to her name. Releasing to EYE KEEP SMILING last start when claiming the Rising Sun Consolation, it followed a sharp first up Menangle victory and she looks too classy for them.

AARDIE B MIKI (8) will be relying on some factors in her favour to find the gap in time to issue a challenge. Catching the eye when first up from NZ in the Redcliffe Oaks, she fired out from the wide gate to take them all the way in the South East Oaks. She will be probing for the gaps.

RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (1) should appreciate the conditions from this gate against her own age after her two Oaks runs this campaign have been from tough draws. She has early hustle to make it interesting.

EVER ART (4) was beaten by the second line gate when trying to eat into the deficit behind AARDIE B MIKI las time. Dictating at Redcliffe the start prior, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MILLWOOD BLISS (3), AARDIE B MIKI (8), RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (1), EVER ART (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MILLWOOD BLISS (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Runner-up in the NSW Derby, BAY OF BISCAY (11) will be looking to go one better here off the back of a last start victory from a wide gate at Melton. Grabbing third from inside the second line when resuming from a spell, he receives no favours from the gate, but class can get him home.

MINOS (2) has been bereft of luck in his three Qld starts, landing poor gates on each occasion, yet being able to convert that into some strong performances. He lands the good marble for the big one and with his early hustle can find the poles first and from there can throw down the challenge.

MAJOR HOT (12) looked in danger of not finding the gaps last time when snookered three back along the poles, but he sprinted hard when the gap arrived to grab the W. He is right in this.

DELE ROW (5) secured the QBRED Breeders Classic three starts back and has been placed in both runs since. Rocketing home down the outside paint last start when beaten a neck, he can chime in once again.

SELECTIONS: BAY OF BISCAY (11), MINOS (2), MAJOR HOT (12), DELE ROW (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BAY OF BISCAY (11) to win

RACE SIX

Resuming from a spell last week in the Paleface Adios, FATE AWAITS (1) was put into the fight at the 1200 when zipping around to find the front. Peaking on his run and missing a cheque, he was still under 5m from the winner. With all the options, he can look to bounce back to take this.

THE HIGHLIGHT REEL (3) is undefeated in three starts to date, his most recent appearance when overcoming a wide gate to claim the Nutrien final back in April. He arrives with somewhat of a boom around him and from the gate, comes into the race fresh as he looks to challenge.

MY ULTIMATE BARNEY (6) was devastating at Penrith last start when winning arrogantly in a time that 2YO pacers just don’t produce on that track. Is only defeat in five attempts was when runner-up to FOX DAN in the Gold Crown Final and he can feature despite the gate.

HESITATE (9) was the eye catcher out of the key lead in run last week in the Paleface Adios, hitting the line strongly when just a head from the winner. With the right trail, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: FATE AWAITS (1), THE HIGHLIGHT REEL (3), MY ULTIMATE BARNEY (6), HESITATE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: FATE AWAITS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

A win here will likely elevate LEAP TO FAME (1) into a position where he can be declared a bona fide champion. His main danger looks to be luck and whether he can find a way clear of the markers to avoid being buried in the run. He was able to do that in the Wondais Mate to score, and he can do it again here.

NERANO (10) will be looking to press through at the start, hard on the back of TURN IT UP to find the ideal position. Securing victory in the Lucky Creed over this trip three starts back when making full use of an ideal trip, he has been sectionally super in the two runs since.

DISTRICT ATTORNEY (11) has not missed the money in four runs for the new stable and was best of the chasing pack behind LEAP TO FAME in the Sunshine Sprint last start. He can be working home into the contest.

BLACKSADANCE (4) was buried in the run last start before charging home in the stretch to grab 3rd when just 3m from JIMARTEE. He has had little luck in two previous attempts at this race but can get handy to grab some minor money.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (1), NERANO (10), DISTRICT ATTORNEY (11), BLACKSADANCE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LEAP TO FAME (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

The super season rolled on last start for GUS (5) when adding a G3 Trotters Sprint to his name, making a mid-race move to take control and then pull clear to run a slick mile. Claiming the DJA Final the start prior, he can press forward and look to add a G1 to the tally.

ROCKINWITHATTITUDE (6) claimed the Great Square last start, allowed to balance up early before being sent forward to take control with 1500 metres to travel. Holding off a game LONDON TO A BRICK, this is the perfect race to step up into open company and issue a challenge.

MUFASA METRO (9) was in front early last week until GUS revved up and slipped past him with 1100m to run. Holding on for the silver, he has the class on most of his rivals and is right in this.

LONDON TO A BRICK (10) was rattling home in the stretch here last week when grabbing the bronze behind GUS. Game in defeat the start prior, he will be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GUS (5), ROCKINWITHATTITUDE (6), MUFASA METRO (9), LONDON TO A BRICK (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5-6-9-10

RACE NINE

A slick winner here four runs back, TAY TAY (7) was put into the contest at the bell on that occasion and pulled clear for a smart victory. Nothing has gone in her favour since, the latest when searching for gaps and only 6m from EYE KEEP SMILING. This looks hers to take.

MANHATTAN (10) took the closing dive in the Fleur De Lil two starts back when just a half-neck from the winner AARDIES EXPRESS. Making late metres here last week when 3rd to EYE KEEP SMILING, the gate dents the chances somewhat, but look for her issuing a closing challenge.

ILLAVABUBBLES (9) has drawn inside the second line in all three appearances this campaign at The Creek, the latest when under 4m from the winner in the Golden Girl. She can be joining in.

ITS EBONYNIVORY (6) was buried in the run last week in the Golden Girl and never saw space when finishing just 9m away. Gates have dented her earnings this campaign, but she has been super and bobbing up here would not surprise.

SELECTIONS: TAY TAY (7), MANHATTAN (10), ILLAVABUBBLES (9), ITS EBONYNIVORY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: TAY TAY (7) to win

RACE TEN

The last race of the carnival is just the small field of 7 where RESET THE BAR (3) will be looking to make the most of the chance. Midfield last start behind MAJOR HOT, he made an error the start prior which ended his chances. Form the gate, he can take his shot.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD (4) has placed in all four runs since claiming a midweek victory here five runs back. Forced to sit parked last start when grinding out a close 2nd, a return to his own age looks in his favour and he can issue a challenge.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (5) was tucked away on the inside here two starts back when grabbing the bronze behind AMERICAN SPIRIT. He can get handy enough to chime in here.

COSMIC FLYER (2) should be handy enough in the small field and looks like he will enjoy the longer 13-furlong trip. Buried away last start, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: RESET THE BAR (3), GO COLOUR MY WORLD (4), BLACKJACK CRIPPA (5), COSMIC FLYER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RESET THE BAR (3) to win
