Form Analysis: Redcliffe - 18 July

RACE 1 

CEDAR CREEK FALLS (1) couldn’t quite reel in Hay Bale Hustler last start when finishing strongly. Draws a good gate here and looks one of the hardest to beat. 

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (7) worked hard in the early stages last start and faded out of it. This is much easier. 

WHYKIKAMOOCOW (8) made a mistake last time out when first up from a spell. Start prior wasn’t far away in a strong 2YO race. 

BELMER BETTY (5) debuted last start and ran a good fourth after landing the leaders back trail.

RACE 2 

HIGHWAY WRITER (3) is having its first start for the Battle stable. Appears to bring decent NSW form into this race. 

DREAM MELODY (4) contested a strong race last time out. Can go better in this. 

MATAI REACTOR (5) ran on strongly last start but wasn’t quite able to reel in the winner Our Dolly. 

LETS GET SHORTY (7) hasn’t impressed his last couple starts failing to make much impression running on out wide. May appreciate the peg line draw.

SUGGESTED BET: LETS GET SHORTY (7) each way. 

RACE 3

BLISSFULL IDENTITY (3) his recent efforts have been better than they read numerically. Should find a position close to the speed and prove hard to beat. 

FOR OUR DELIGHT (5) found himself in an awkward position from gate 6 last time out. Won two starts ago and looks a suitable type of race to be thereabouts. 

ROYAL STUDLEIGH (7) raced well when up on speed two back not beaten far before finding himself out the back running on just fairly in the concluding stages. Can secure a soft trip from this draw. 

VERMONT (2) was shuffled back on the pegs last time out and could only manage a midfield finish from there.

RACE 4 

MELTON INSULTED (2) gate speed horse. Wasn’t beaten far last time out when sitting in the leaders back trail. 

ISLA AND ADDIE (1) draws ideally. Has been in career best form. 

MEGA STAR (4) ran a close second after being the first horse to move up 3 wide. 

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (5) first up from a spell last start faded late in tough conditions. Should be better for the run and steps back to the 1780.

SUGGESTED BET: ISLA AND ADDIE (1) to win.

RACE 5

INFINITY BEACH (1) was well beaten last start after racing off the pegs in tough conditions. She has options early. 

TIGER BY THE TAIL (7) was the first horse three wide last start and battled on well there. Can secure a soft trip in this.

OBI ONE (5) has been taking on tougher company and is rarely far away. 

ZENXENA (2) ran home strongly two runs ago before doing the work last start and battling on fairly.

SUGGESTED BET: INFINITY BEACH (1) to win. 

RACE 6 

EURO BEAT (8) held up for a clear run at a vital stage last start before running on well late in a quick mile rate. 

CARTER GRANT (3) has raced without luck for a while now. Caught wide in the early stages last start he was forced back before finishing off well late. 

VINDICATE (5) hard to fault this mares recent form, rarely puts in a bad run. Ran well again last start from back in the field. 

PROMISING (6) drew awkwardly last start and was forced to rear of the field before doing his best work late.

SUGGESTED BET: CARTER GRANT (3) to win. 

RACE 7

HES SWEET (1) gate speed horse that generally does his best work out in front and gets that opportunity here. Disappointed two runs ago when starting favourite but this does not appear any tougher. 

MYNAMESEVAN (4) lead last start and ran right away in the concluding stages. 

MERRY JEWEL (2) held up with nowhere to go at a vital stage last start. Her run prior she ran on strongly to score. 

SHES IN LINE (8) flashing late last start into third. She was able to lead all the way two runs back. 

SELECTIONS: HES SWEET (1), MYNAMESEVAN (4), MERRY JEWEL (2), SHES IN LINE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: HES SWEET (1) to win. 

RACE 8

TOMAHAWK BART(2) showed good gate speed last start and wasn’t beaten far in a quick mile rate for this grade. 

KHULAN KID (3) lead last start and over raced. Run down late but was still able to hold onto second rating decent time. 

OUR ULTIMATE IVY (5) got shuffled back last start at a crucial stage in what could easily have become an unlucky second. Picked up and was good enough to run over the top to win impressively. 

RIGHTYO (7) likely to secure a soft economical trip in this race.

RACE 9

KERBANG (8) dominant winner last time out over the 2040 when able to push to the front in the early stages. The trailing draw appears to suit.

PUMPKIN PAT (7) wide on the track last time out when the speed went on he battled on well behind subsequent winner Cougar Express. 

YUKON BE SERIOUS (4) third in a trial on return from a spell. Her better efforts last time in would be competitive in this. 

LITTLEMICKEY (1) draws a good gate and has options in the early stages. 

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (8), PUMPKIN PAT (7), YUKON BE SERIOUS (4), LITTLEMICKEY (1) 

SUGGESTED BET: KERBANG (8) to win. 

RACE 10

SPORTS MODE (1) couldn’t show the gate speed to lead last start and was left in the leaders trail. He looks hard to beat if able to lead in this race. 

CHANGE IS GOLDEN (2) two starts again was able to run second to Hell Im Smooth before doing all the work in the breeze. Has been freshened up and appears one of the main chances. 

THE COOKIE MONSTER (9) debuted well running into fourth. He draws awkwardly but can be finishing off strong late. 

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (4) lead last start and battled on into third.
