RACE ONE

HIDE AND SEEK (7) tried to make the most of an error by an opponent last start, pressing forward to take control. Leading until deep stretch, he was collared in the closing stages by MAJESTIC HARRY. It was good to see him trot cleanly and repeat of that can see him capitalise.

KAR MANOR (5) has a smart record at these conditions and trip and finding position cheaply will be a big plus. Strong to the line last start when 1m from the winner INDEFENSIBLE, tempo would certainly be helping his cause.

MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (4) has been his own worst enemy in recent starts with some costly errors. If he can trot cleanly a strong showing can be expected.

CEEPEEKAY (1) is tackling some more experienced campaigners here but has the advantage of the inside alley. A soft trip can see her feature.

SELECTIONS: HIDE AND SEEK (7), KAAR MANOR (5), MY ULTIMATYE EDDIE (4), CEEPEEKAY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HIDE AND SEEK (7) to win

RACE TWO

MY RUMOUR HAS IT (4) is a safe beginner who can look to make full use of the front line tape. A winner four runs back when allowed to dictate in front, if she can pinch a panel and get a softer middle stage she will be hard to stop.

HAMMER SON (9) is in form and lines up here chasing four on the bounce. Making full use of conditions last start to complete the hat-trick, pulling clear to a 12m margin. This is tougher from the 30m but winning form must be respected.

BANFF (10) was runner up behind HAMEMER SON here three starts back when faced with a 50m handicap. An error ended his chances last start and he can chase redeemption.

THE REAPER (1) has good manners off the mark and is a better suited prospect when close to the action. He will get that opportunity here.

SELECTIONS: MY RUMOUR HAS IT (4), HAMMER SON (9), BANFF (10), THE REAPER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MY RUMOUR HAS IT (4) to win

RACE THREE

MACS A DUDE (8) finished strongly here two starts back to get within a half-neck of the winner. Finding running line cover last start, he had the speed to arrive and will be probing for clear space and open track to stake his claim.

TRUMPYS LEGEND (10) put together three on end before a flat tyre and working early conspired against him with a midfield finish last time. The main players look drawn the back line here and it could be a tactical battle of who gets into the race the most efficiently.

WESTERN ACTION (2)  has the gate to give some cheek here and might just get forward to avail the options.

YANKEE C J (4) has placed in three of his past four stats from tough gates. With the chance to settle closer to the action he comes into calculations.

SELECTIONS: MACS A DUDE (8), TRUMPYS LEGEND (10), WESTERN ACTION (2), YANKEE C J (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

LEITHEN BURN (9) is knocking on the door after placing at his past four starts in succession. Locked away last start, he was keen in the middle stages when holding on for third behind EVER ART. He will require some tempo, which looks set to play out and he can capitalise.

APHRODITE (4) can work in the run if required as she did in the early stages before cover arrived when finishing just 4m from JEWEL MELODY on Saturday night. Just a half-neck away the start prior, also in Saturday night grade, she can get forward to issue a challenge

SARGEANT (3) was locked away on the fence last start and never a factor as ROYAL SPEECH powered home to a strong victory. Settling handy can result in a sharper performance.

HARRY KANE (6) forced the issue last start to get forward, working in the early stages. A winner three starts back coming with one run positioning cheaply will be key.

SELECTIONS: LEITHEN BURN (9), APHRODITE (4), SARGEANT (3), HARRY KANE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LEITHEN BURN (9) to win

RACE FIVE

SHEER ARTISTRY (3)
hit the line strongly two starts back finishing midfield in the Queensland Oaks. She worked hard in the run from gate 7 in a game effort behind SCRUFFY last start when runner-up and improved gate can see her make the most of the opportunity.

KASH TIN (7) is afforded no favours from the outside gate but has been face with some tough alleys in recent outings. Last start he closed strongly behind the smart filly EVER ART from a second line gate. Limiting the early burn can see him issue a challenge.

ALTA SENSATION (10) was a winner here two starts back when powering over the top to claim a 10m margin. He will need some tempo to make full use of this second line gate

DELILAH ROSE (1) has the benefit of the inside gate which presents options with her early speed.

SELECTIONS: SHEER ARTISTRY (3), KASH TIN (7), ALTA SENSATION (10), DELILIAH ROSE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEER ARTISTRY (3) to win

RACE SIX

BUSHY BEACH (3)
loomed up to make a run last start which ended before it really got going, yet he dug in when 8m from the winner KICK THE SWITCH. Overcoming gate 7 to dictate two starts back, a return to the front line in this grade looks suitable and he can get forward to capitalise.

LANAI (10) has no favours from outside the second line but has been coming from tough gates with the ODM embargo. If he can slot into the running line cheaply look for him making a closing challenge.

AMAMI (8) will be tucked away on the fence needing some luck. If finding space in time, he can close out to finish in the money.

FORCE FULL (2) has been tackling some of the stronger 3-year-old events through the carnival before stepping up to open age last start in a qualifier. He can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: BUSHY BEACH (3), LANAI (10), AMAMI (8), FORCE FULL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BUSHY BEACH (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

DANGERZONE (3)
returns to the Jack Butler stable after a extended Sydney campaign last scene at April when just a half head from simply Sam who performed well during the carnival he has since trial nicely and ready for his return and finds suitable conditions first up yeah, yeah

KICKATINALONGPONY (2) has good early speed when pushing forward and from this gate can look to get handy to the action. Midfield last start behind MAJOR MOTH, he was a beaten fav the start prior and he can be forward to challenge in this.

MR MCLAREN (8) will be needing a slice of luck at some point from this gate as he looks at risk of being buried. If he finds track in time, he has the class to feature.

THROWYOURARMSAROUNDME (4) was a real eyecatcher three starts back when charging home under the arches. That was franked with a win before being luckless last time.

SELECTIONS: DANGERZONE (3), KICKATINALONGPONY (2), MR MCLAREN (8), THROWYOURARMSAROUNDME (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

OLD LUKE (10)
dropped back from free for all company into similar grade to this assignment last time. He was better suited in this company finishing a close second behind TAIRLAW TOLL after being buried on the poles. Despite a second line gate tempo looks strong enough.

DESPONDENT (1) was runner up two starts back behind ROCKS OR DIAMONDS at the mile. Less suited last start at the middle trip when doing early work, he gets the gate and the options to find position and issue a closing challenge.

STORMTIDE (5) pressed forward to find the front last start at the mile and was clinging on in the stretch when collared by ROCKS OR DIAMONDS. He can get forward again.

COPPERFIELD (2) found the right trip to bust through the middle and claim victory last start. Tucked in behind the tempo he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: OLD LUKE (10), DESPONDENT (1), STORMTIDE (5), COPPERFIELD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OLD LUKE (10) to win
