Form Analysis: Redcliffe - 19 September

RACE 1 

MISS SYRAH (2) very good effort last time out. Made an early move to challenge for the lead unsuccessfully. She put away the leader and booted for home before being reeled in late. 

TEQUILA EN ICE (3) lead two starts ago at Albion Park and battled on well not beaten far. Draws slightly awkwardly. 

RESERVE BANK (8) impressed last start in what appeared a strong maiden was hitting the line reasonably well late. 

JADEZ (1) trialled up moderately leading into her debut. Her first start she was luckless caught wide before restraining to the rear of the field. 

SELECTIONS: MISS SYRAH (2), TEQUILA EN ICE (3), RESERVE BANK (8), JADEZ (1) 

SUGGESTED BET:  MISS SYRAH (2) to win. 

RACE 2 

JADES DIAMOND (8) is a horse that showed promise early in her career before a long layoff. Returned with an average effort when finishing last in a tougher race. A few weeks since that run and having been first up there for a long time can forgive and looks a likely improver second up. 

THE REAL VANESSA (2) has the key draw advantage on main rivals. Lead and won her only career win. 

HURRIKANE JEWELS (6) brings in reasonable form to this race. First up and a wide draw certainly dampen her chances but she may be able to figure with luck. 

EBONY BELLE (9) is unsuited by the outside back row draw. Was able to obtain the leaders back trail two starts ago to finish second before working hard in the early stages last start.

SUGGESTED BET: EBONY BELLE (9) each way. 

RACE 3

LARA BAY (2) trialled up reasonably in preparation for this first up run. Should be better for that outing and generally races well up on speed. 

TORQUE IN CONTROL (7) good trailing draw in this race. Should she see clear running at the right time no doubt she will be finishing off strong. 

BLING THE LUCK (3) hasn’t quite been able to recapture her previous QLD form having been well beaten her last few starts. 

CHARLEVOIX (9) has been making up ground from back in the field in recent starts. 

SELECTIONS: LARA BAY (2), TORQUE IN CONTROL (7), BLING THE LUCK (3), CHARLEVOIX (9)

SUGGESTED BET: CHARLEVOIX (9) each way. 

RACE 4 

IMA BEACH BABE (5) has very good gate speed and this isn’t an overly fast front row. Contested stronger her last two outings. 

FRANCO MACHO (7) very good run two starts ago when leading and over racing before sticking on for a good second. Did the work last start and tired to be beaten a big margin. Can bounce back. 

DATTITUDE (8) first up from a spell after being scratched from a recent race. Can go well if forward enough on return. 

GRIGORA (2) wasn’t beaten far three starts ago in fast time behind Playa Blanca. 

SELECTIONS: IMA BEACH BABE (5), FRANCO MACHO (7), DATTITUDE (8), GRIGORA (2)

SUGGESTED BET: IMA BEACH BABE (5) to win. 

RACE 5

OUR MAJOR DAY (3) looks to have found an ideal race. Left to do the work in a quick mile rate last start battled on well. 

CHAMONIX (6) is racing in near career best form. Barely put in a poor run in recent outings. 

BETTERTHAN POPSY (7) ran only strongly late last start when racing at the rear. This looks slightly easier. 

CALL ME KEITH (4) isn’t racing at his absolute best in recent starts. Can bounce back here.

SUGGESTED BET: OUR MAJOR DAY (3) to win. 

RACE 6 

SCRUFFY (1) has the draw advantage in what looks an extremely even contest. He was able to lead and win in fast enough time two starts ago. 

MISTER REACTOR (7) has been racing in good form and appears to have drawn to receive a good trail into the race. 

ESCOBAR (4) can race up on speed. Looks suited in this company. 

PROMISING (8) gains a good trailing draw. Can look to finish off strong.

SUGGESTED BET: PROMISING (8) each way 

RACE 7

AURORA REASON (8) was a very good run last start when coming from back in the field. 

BORSELLINO (4) has been racing in good form without a huge amount of luck. Likely to be running on strong. 

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (9) lead last start in a race that just appeared too strong for her on paper. She is likely better suited in this company and can improve. 

MISS MIA (1) draws the inside gate in a race she may be able to bounce back to form.

RACE 8

TOMMY BLIGH (1) was a recent trial winner. Has good gate speed can dictate the early map in this race. 

MY GIRL MANDY (2) may be looking to secure leaders back trail 

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (4) looked to be travelling well last start with nowhere to go. Can race well. 

MONTEREY JACK (7) was able to score two starts ago at Marburg. Likely to find this much tougher but can secure a soft run. 

SELECTIONS: TOMMY BLIGH (1), MY GIRL MANDY (2), WESTERN SHOWGIRL (4), MONTEREY JACK (7)

SUGGESTED BET: TOMMY BLIGH (1) to win. 

RACE 9

ALLHEARTNOHEIGHT (9) appeared to have her chance last start when racing in the one out one back trail. The horses she finished alongside there Jet Force and Sheez Got Torque would likely to be short priced favourites in this race. 

DIAMOND DEANO (6) broke through last start to lead and win at this track. Took on some handy enough horses in races prior and despite drawing widest looks to be one of the key chances. 

MACH TORQUE (5) likely to be closing strongly late in the race. Racing well. 

ARKUNA (2) made up solid ground late last start after getting shuffled back in the early stages. Draws to advantage.
