Form Analysis: Redcliffe - 16 October

RACE 1 

MAKARA (2) trialled up sharply recently. He has the draw advantage on some of his key rivals. Should be thereabouts. 

AQUA SANCTA (5) won a recent trial. Performed well late last time in winning two of his last four starts. 

BONNIES DANCE (7) was first up last start and got back to last in the run. Ran on powerfully into fourth. Should be better for that outing. 

ESCOBAR (6) has been his own worst enemy at times in recent outings making mistakes at the start. He battled on strongly last start after sitting in the breeze.

SUGGESTED BET: MAKARA (2) to win. 

RACE 2 

HELL OF A HAND (7) has run well in her past two starts. She will be hoping the horse draw in front of her Diego Delgado holds the lead in the early stages which would likely see her hard to beat. 

MODERN SHEEN (6) did the work outside the leader last start and proved too good. Draws awkwardly and may need to do the work again. 

YES YOU MAY (9) won last start in a quick mile rate for the 2040 after getting a soft run throughout. Stepping out for his first start in the Shane Graham stable. 

DEECEE ROCKIN (3) rarely far away when the tempo suits. He can look to finish off strong again.

RACE 3

BELL RIVER BOY (8) is having his first start for the Chloe Butler stable. Ran well last start behind Modern Sheen. 

MISSTREPO (9) won three starts ago before finishing close up in her past two starts. Seems to appreciate racing over the 2040 at Redcliffe. 

KHULAN KID (1) has the gate speed to dictate in the early stages. 

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (2) battled on well last start in a quick mile rate at Marburg. Draws well.

RACE 4 

PRETTY LITTLE LIAR (9) did work in the run last start and was run down by a horse that had a soft trip in the race Wandary Delight. Looks a top chance in this race. 

HIGHVIEW SADLER (4) ran on well last start behind Rock It Baby. Has to navigate a somewhat awkward draw in this race. 

EMMALEEN (6) made a mistake last start taking her out of contention. If she can bring her best manners she looks well placed in this race. 

ILLBEWATCHING (5) finished third in a strong race last start behind Modern Sheen and Bell River Boy. Has a wide draw to navigate and may get a long way back.

RACE 5

WEHAVTIME (5) is having his first start in Australia. Only has 1 win from 16 starts in New Zealand but did trial up well at Albion park. 

SHADYS DELIGHT (8) broke through for a well deserved win last start when running away for an 8.2 metre victory. Can look to do similar from a good draw. 

SNIP OF BEAUTY (9) got back last start in a race that became pegs dominated with the leader dominating. Can bounce back. 

SAMMYS SECRET (1) was crossed in the early stages last start by two very fast beginners. He may be able to hold a prominent position in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: SHADYS DELIGHT (8) to win. 

RACE 6 

GHOST TRAIN (3) couldn’t get into the race last start in what became a bit of a dash home. He has very good gate speed and from the good draw could find the lead and from there would be very hard to run down. 

BLISSFULL IDENTITY (7) has placed in his last three outings. Has drawn awkwardly in this race and will likely need luck to figure. 

SNACK TIME ROCKS (1) couldn’t get into it last start at Marburg after drawing outside the back row, 

MATAI REACTOR (5) loomed strongly last start and was just run down by the in form Shadys Delight. 

SELECTIONS: GHOST TRAIN (3), BLISSFULL IDENTITY (7), SNACK TIME ROCKS (1), MATAI REACTOR (5)

SUGGESTED BET: SNACK TIME ROCKS (1) to place. 

RACE 7

ROLLONX (5) has returned to some of his best form in recent starts. Was made to work through the middle stages last start which may have been the difference when run down late by Arkuna. 

PROSPECTUS (4) showed gate speed last start before obtaining the leaders back trail. Appeared to have every chance there but should be fitter for the effort and draws well. 

SIR JUJON (8) had every chance last start after obtaining the leaders back trail. Moves from gate 1 to gate 8 and is unlikely to find things any easier in this. 

SALS LAST BLAST (9) had no luck last start when caught behind a tiring runner. Looks a good chance in this grade.

SUGGESTED BET: PROSPECTUS (4) to win. 

RACE 8

OLDGOLD (9) had no luck last start when locking wheels and being taken out of the race. Difficult to know how well she was travelling at that point in the race but she did go around a very short priced favourite and has to be respected again in this race. 

THE SQUARE DANCER (4) didn’t have much luck last start when caught wide a majority of the race. If she brings her best manners she can figure in the finish. 

BERNICES LOVE (1) lead for almost all the way last start and was just beaten by the horse that had her back in the run Rocksngems. Can look to do similar from the same draw. 

LITTLE MONKEY (3) steps back into maiden company for this race having taken on up to 40 rating company last time out. Went down narrowly two starts ago behind Fifty Each Way albeit in a race they ran slow time.

SUGGESTED BET: THE SQUARE DANCER (4) to win. 

RACE 9

SUN WUKONG (3) hasn’t missed the placings in his three career starts. Beaten last start after being forced to do the work outside Ruby Rules who dashed home a very slick last quarter. 

ALSROKSTAR (6) has placed in his last three outings since returning from a spell. Despite the wide draw he looks one of the main chances. 

FREELANCE DANCER (4) didn’t have much luck last start when just 4.5 metres behind Vinnie Nitro. 

GIRL THE GIRL (1) looks to be a fair way off the first three hopes but does gain a good draw in this race.
