Form Analysis: Albion Park December 5

RACE 1 

ITS A SPONGE DARL (6) took on stronger company in his first campaign. Had absolutely no luck last start at Marburg when displaying a solid turn of foot before veering off the track late. May be better suited at Albion Park. 

WECANONLYDREAM (7) trialled up reasonably at Marburg in an effort that suggested the horse should be competitive in a maiden like this. 

JUST A COOL DUDE (3) is an extremely well bred horse. Trialled up just moderately but the Dixon horses do tend to come on significantly from their first outing at trials and races. 

BOLD PERSONALITY (5) has been competitive in a few maidens which look to have been similar quality to this.

RACE 2 

SPLASHNDASH (8) found the lead last start and ran quick time around Marburg. Will need to be well driven from inside the back row but does clearly look the class in the race. 

OCEAN LANE (6) has been finishing races off strongly in recent starts. Looks to be racing very well and can figure with the right run. 

JOGALONG COOP (3) tends to mix its form. Looks to have found a race and draw which might suit in this one and can go forward early. 

TACKAS LAST DANCE (9) will likely find this more suitable than a few of its recent races.

RACE 3

TAKING A PUNT (1) gate speed horse that couldn’t obtain the lead last start. Performed well after that making up good late ground. Looks the one to beat. 

MY ULTIMATE FELIX (2) showed gate speed to hold the lead last start and just battled away late. This looks a race with significantly less depth. 

SEE THE DREAM (9) has run good races in the past. His last few haven’t been his absolute best but he looks suited in this company. 

PEEJAY MACK (8) has been getting keen in recent starts which has hindered his chances. Looks likely to secure a good run in this.

SUGGESTED BET: TAKING A PUNT (1) to win. 

RACE 4 

STORMBOY STAR (3) showed gate speed last start and couldn’t obtain the lead. The effort was better than the margin would suggest and appeared to hit the line okay late. 

TULHURST SMOOCHER (10) has showed a sharp turn of foot her last two starts just hasn’t been able to sustain that run. If she gets the tempo to suit she would likely be hard to beat. 

MACH TORQUE (8) draws very awkwardly in this race inside the back row. Will need luck. 

ROSARITO (2) has been racing poorly in recent times. Looks a race where he may potentially be able to find the front and can obtain suitable cover from there.

SUGGESTED BET: STORMBOY STAR (3) to win. 

RACE 5

ROCK HAMMER (7) steps back from racing in qualifying races his last two. This looks a lot more suitable and he can be put into the race. 

B MAC C (6) is racing in brilliant form at the moment. He is a horse with very good gate speed but has been running on strongly late in recent starts so has options early. 

EPIC ORION (1) doesn’t have brilliant gate speed and holding in the early stages will likely be the query. Racing well enough. 

KHULAN KID (4) hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent races. The goes on in this race if he was able to zip over early and take cover he would likely be thereabouts.

SUGGESTED BET: B MAC C (6) to win. 

RACE 6 

APHRODITE (4) has very good gate speed and may be a race where she can work her way to the top. If she can find that position she’d prove very hard to catch. 

ZOOM PARTY (3) has very good gate speed and may look to zip over in the early stages. 

MAJOR SLIP UP (1) trialled up well behind Madrigal at Marburg recently. Draws well and will be looking to hustle through early. 

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (7) made some errors last start and was sent back to the trials where he performed well.

SUGGESTED BET: APHRODITE (4) to win. 

RACE 7

ARTFUL MAID (3) has very good gate speed and was forced to do the work last start at Marburg battling away well there. If she is able to find the front she would give them something to catch. 

OLLIE OLLIE (1) ran on strongly late last start without the clearest passage. Draws ideally in this race and has options. 

JESSEJAMES SHANNON (2) has been in consistent form in recent starts placing in his last three. Last time he led over the mile he was well beaten so that is a slight query if he is to find himself in that position. 

ALLNIGHT DANCER (9) has been racing well and this may be a slight drop in class.

SUGGESTED BET: ARTFUL MAID (3) to win. 

RACE 8

GETALOADATHISBRO (4) has impressed in recent starts ran second just beaten by the horse on his back three runs ago before scoring a well deserved win. He looks the likely leader. 

TULHURST CUDDLES (5) hasn’t had much luck in recent starts. She is a horse that’s capable of doing work in her races and the 2138 ideally suits. 

ARKUNA (7) was running on well last start in the concluding stages. Seems to be well suited at the trip. 

ONE CHAIN ROAD (1) ran well last start. Doesn’t go quite as well when used too much in the early stages but if he can obtain the right run quickly he shouldn’t be too far away.
