Form Analysis: Marburg December 3

RACE 1 

PEEJAY MACK (3) showed gate speed to lead last start before giving ground late to finish in sixth. She needs to lift off that effort to figure in this but does step back to restricted win company. 

PRECOCIOUS KATE (5) has changed stables since her last start and is first up for the Doug Hewitt stable. She has shown good ability early in her career and despite the poor draw could be a factor in the finish. 

LITTLEMICKEY (8) hasn’t placed in his last six starts but may have landed in a more suitable race here. Last time he contested a restricted win race he took on The Vixen and Otis Rising. Gets no favours from the outside back row draw. 

SPICE BOY (1) is a big query in this race. He is first up over a year and trialled quite slowly back in July.

RACE 2 

DOC HARVEY (3) started a short priced favourite last start and elected to take a trail and just couldn’t quite reel in the leader late. Has gate speed and could prove hard to beat if able to lead. 

SHES CLASSY (7) has taken on stronger company in recent starts. Seems to do her best work on the pegs which she is unlikely to find in this. 

GHOST TRAIN (8) is a capable sit sprinter when she is racing well. Going much better than her numerical form would suggest. 

WESTERN ACTION (5) has good ability and hasn’t had much luck in recent starts. Unlikely to get many favours from this draw.

RACE 3

OLD ENGLISH (3) is a horse that has above average gate speed. Hasn’t had a lot of luck in recent starts and if it was able to find the front would likely prove hard to catch. 

HIGHWAY WRITER (2) doesn’t appear to be blessed with much gate speed which could prove key in this race. Returns after just a moderate trial but may be better for that outing. 

CHANCELESS CENTURY (7) looks to be nearing another win. Can race up on speed and be thereabouts. 

RIVER ROCK (8) returns from a spell in this race. Won two starts ago at this track and his best would see him hard to beat.

RACE 4 

SHAKATIE (2) found the front last start and battled away well into second. Seemingly just came up against a horse on the rise in Roseanne Ruby and is likely to find this easier. 

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (7) should get a great run through early in this race. He isn’t a horse that’s traditionally been able to do it tough but he probably lands in the right type of race here. 

THE CROM (6) was held up last start at a crucial stage. Appears to be racing into form. 

MISTER DIAMOND (8) ran well last start from a poor draw in a race that didn’t suit.

SUGGESTED BET: SHAKATIE (2) to win. 

RACE 5

SHE DAZZLES (1) was unable to hold the front last start when crossed in the early stages. If she can hold the lead in this race she’d likely prove hard to catch. 

DIGBY DEMON (4) has some gate speed and showed that last start before being unable to obtain the lead and doing it tough. The battle for the lead in the early stages could prove key. 

ROYAL STUDLEIGH (8) sat without cover last start and battled on well there for a close second. Is racing well and can overcome the poor draw. 

IDEAL TIGER (6) should get the right run through early and looks well graded in this.

RACE 6 

ROSEANNE RUBY (6) was held up with nowhere to go last start late. Appears to have returned very well after a spell. 

ALTANA BLUE (9) has been racing in good form. Despite the extremely tricky draw he can be thereabouts again. 

CRIME TIME (1) doesn’t possess much gate speed which could make his task from difficult from gate 1. If he is able to lead he would prove very hard to catch. 

ROCCO VARIETY (2) led last start and was just run down late by the horse on his back. May be able to find the lead again in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: ROSEANNE RUBY (6) to win. 

RACE 7

KISS ON THE BEACH (1) numerical form is terrible with a 5th being the closest she’s gotten in her past 9 starts. She is seemingly going better than that numerical form would suggest and from the inside draw she has options early. When she was last able to lead at this track she scored a dominant win. 

ARTISTIC SAINT (2) took on stronger company three starts ago when taking on Petty Kitty and Diamond Shooz. If he was able to lead he’d likely prove hard to catch. 

JAY TEE TYRON (3) has been racing in good form. Looks to have drawn an awkward gate and will need to be well driven early. 

LULU LUCIFER (6) could get the right run through early. Has been racing well.

SUGGESTED BET: KISS ON THE BEACH (1) to win. 

RACE 8

HES SWEET (1) is a gate speed horse that should have the speed to lead. He is going well enough to suggest he’d be hard to catch leading around the Marburg circuit. 

KELLOSHIEL (6) got a similar run that she is likely to get in this race two starts ago at this track and was able to finish second. 

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (7) has been mixing his form in recent starts. Has options in the early stages. 

ARNOLD STREET (3) is a gate speed horse that’s not going at his absolute best at the moment. This looks suitable.
