Form Analysis: Redcliffe December 18

RACE 1 

MISTER REACTOR (6) had no luck last start in a strong race. Has been racing well and enjoys racing at this track. Looks hard to beat despite the wide draw. 

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3) has been racing in good form. Looks likely to secure a good run in this race close to the speed. 

BLACKJACK BART (1) doesn’t have much gate speed so may get crossed in the early stages despite being suited drawn inside at the 2040 start point. Has been racing well and is still a very good winning hope if crossed early. 

LUXURY LAD (2) is a gate speed horse and may be able to zip across in the early stages to take it up. He hasn’t quite been racing at his absolute best and his a last few attempts leading he has faded out of it late.

RACE 2 

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (1) impressed last start when making a move down the back to get to the leader and battled on well for second. Looks likely to lead from the draw and can take catching. 

ARTFUL MAID (7) just found the 2040 circuit a touch too far last start. A step back to the 1780 looks suitable and could secure a perfect run. 

ACCELERE (9) is having its first race for the Jonah Hutchinson stable. Has to be respected. 

WAR CLUB (5) has been hitting the line strongly when driven conservatively in the early stages. From the wide draw he can make a bid for victory running down the outside in the concluding stages.

SUGGESTED BET: ARTFUL MAID (7) to win. 

RACE 3

MISTER DOMINGO (1) had no luck last start when plenty went wrong in the run. Has good gate speed which gives him options in the early stages. Looks a suitable race. 

ROCK NIEN (9) made a strong challenge for the lead last start and was able to run to the front there before tiring late. This looks more suitable and he should be thereabouts. 

MULLUM DOC (3) showed gate speed last start before being crossed. He was well beaten in the end albeit in a fast mile rate for the grade. 

FAVREAU (7) should be able to follow through in the early stages and can secure a good run throughout.

RACE 4 

ROLLONX (1) Is a gate speed horse that has drawn ideally in this race. He worked hard in the early stages last start and was forced to settle for leaders back which isn’t his preferred position in running. Looks a race he can bounce back in. 

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (2) impressed last start running into a very close second behind Royal Studleigh who has since run well. This race looks suitable. 

OCEAN LANE (8) scored a well deserved win last start when working to the breeze before holding them all off late. This doesn’t look much tougher. 

TULHURST CUDDLES (7) doesn’t possess a great deal of gate speed so holding a position in the early stages could prove key to her chances.

SUGGESTED BET: FANCY LIKE BARBIE (2) each way. 

RACE 5

BENJI HALL (10) has been racing off significant handicaps and looks suited back to a mobile. Would be suited by a genuine early tempo. 

BANFF (4) hasn’t been far away in recent outings. He scored a good win four starts ago when leading all of the way which he may look to do again in this race. 

COCHY MALC (9) looks to be dropping in class compared to a few of his recent mobile races. With a good run into the race he can figure. 

ALADDIN SANE (2) has gate speed and a good draw in this race. He has been in good form and appears to be racing well enough to figure in a race of this nature.

SUGGESTED BET: BENJI HALL (10) to win. 

RACE 6 

SPEAK THE TRUTH (6) is a classy horse that returns in this race. He trialled quite poorly leading into this race for a horse of his quality but has been beaten in trials leading into first up wins. 

NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (4) has had a real resurgence since joining the stable of Alanah Richardson. Scored a brilliant last start win when running over the top late last start. He has the key draw advantage. 

MYDADSAID (2) was a good winner last start when leading. He has gate speed and could secure a good run in the race. 

SELECTIONS: SPEAK THE TRUTH (6), NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (4), MYDADSAID (2)

SUGGESTED BET: NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (4) to win. 

RACE 7

BRONSKI ZULU (2) scored an impressive win last start closing over the top late. He was a real revelation last time in putting together all few fantastic runs in some of the feature races after joining the Donny Smith stable. Looks set to go around a very short priced favourite. 

IRON CLAD (4) wasn’t beaten far last start behind Bronski Zulu. He has draw to the disadvantage of that horse in this race which makes things tricky for him. 

GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (3) is a gate speed horse that’s been racing in strong form. He may be eyeing off the position on the back of Bronski Zulu in the early stages. 

RISK TAKER (7) returned last start with a good fourth when closing well late.

SUGGESTED BET: BRONSKI ZULU (2) to win. 

RACE 8

TYPHOON TORQUE (7) could secure a good run through in the early stages. She is generally best when able to secure a run on the pegs which she looks likely to secure in this race. 

SUNNY COVE (8) is a horse with good ability that can at times do a few things wrong. If he can settle nicely and be saved for one run he would be thereabouts. 

BETTING BARON (3) has gate speed and a somewhat awkward draw in this race. If he is able to find the front he would take plenty of catching. 

OUR UNCLE LES (9) has been racing in strong form. Looks well suited in this grade.

RACE 9

MAYWYNS ACE (1) caught the eye last start when powering into second behind Taking A Punt. Has previously shown good gate speed and this race looks very suitable drawn gate one. 

MY ULTIMATE FELIX (3) has shown ability and has rarely been far away in his career so far. 

OUR SWEET JESS (5) hit the line strongly late last start. She has a good turn of foot and would be suited by a genuine early tempo. 

JUST A COOL DUDE (6) impressed on debut when closing strongest to score. Then had no luck last start when copping a check at a crucial stage.

RACE 10

TOUGH FIGHTER (6) impressed on debut when closing strongly into fourth position. Given natural improvement from his first start he is likely to prove hard to beat in this race. 

PADDYS DIAMOND (8) trialled up quite sharply for a maiden. Took up the front and raced away to score there. 

SISTER JUJON (5) led for almost all of the way and was just run down late by Happy As Camm Be. This looks a race with slightly more depth. 

MILLIONDOLLARMARTY (2) made up some ground in the concluding stages on debut. Likely to be better for that outing.
