RACE 1 

RISK TAKER (3) ran well last start behind Bronski Zulu. Draws to get a position up on the speed and could be thereabouts. 

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (8) has been racing in great form. Looks likely to secure a good run through early. 

LUXURY LAD (9) drops in grade in this race. Could be an improver. 

ACCELERE (7) has hit the ground running so far in QLD. Looks another race he is a strong hope.

RACE 2 

BALBOA SHANNON (1) has drawn perfectly in this race to attempt to lead and take them all the way. Performed strongly first up. 

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (3) hasn’t had much luck in his two starts so far this campaign. Getting back to Redcliffe he can bounce back. 

SIR BOSTON (6) led and over raced last start and was just beaten late. Has plenty of ability this horse and looks another race he can figure. 

THERESACHANCE (7) looks likely to secure a perfect run through early. Can turn around his numerical form.

RACE 3

MY ROCKY ROMANCE (2) draws the best of the main chances in this race and looks a race he can find the front in. He led at this trip four starts ago and was only just beaten late. 

HY VOLTAGE (6) got back last start and over raced. He still appeared to hit the line strongly and looks suited in this grade. 

MAJIC MOMENT (3) was asked to hustle early last start and ended up being crossed before over racing in behind the leader. She is better when saved up for one run and can bounce back. 

DESPONDENT (5) has been racing in consistent form and looks another race he can be thereabouts.

RACE 4 

CORNISH SMUGGLER (1) performed poorly last start when tiring out of it badly late. Has previously gone well at this track and trip. May be able to bounce back from the draw. 

TULHURST CUDDLES (7) is racing much better than her numerical form. Will need to do her best early to hold a position. 

GHOST TRAIN (9) took on a much stronger race last start. This looks a lot more suitable. 

TORQUE IN CONTROL (10) has raced well at this trip. 

SELECTIONS: CORNISH SMUGGLER (1), TULHURST CUDDLES (7), GHOST TRAIN (9), TORQUE IN CONTROL (10)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 5

MARKSMAN (2) has shown promise in his two runs since joining the stable of Brendan Barnes. He may be able to zip across in the early stages and if he did he would take catching. 

TORQUE WRITER (9) looks well placed in this grade and can break through for another win at a track she has had plenty of success at previously. 

FEELING THE POWER (8) is better than recent efforts. Looks likely to secure a good run through early. 

COLETTE (1) isn’t a horse that’s blessed with much gate speed and has done things wrong from this draw in the past. Doing everything right early can secure a good run.

RACE 6 

BOSTON HARBOUR (5) is first up from a spell in this race. Was a last start winner beating Alice Rhayne Bow after threatening to break through prior to that for a number of runs. 

VALENTINE QUEEN (6) put in a poor run last start when leading and fading out of it late. Her runs prior have had plenty of merit and she looks hard to beat if able to show her best. 

CEDAR CREEK FALLS (9) is first up from a spell after a reasonable trial. Should secure a good run and is capable of figuring in this race. 

SO MANY MOMENTS (8) scored a good maiden victory three starts ago. A similar effort would be competitive in this.

RACE 7

TAURUS BROMAC (5) had no luck last start when posted wide early before being restrained to the rear. Looks well graded in a race of this nature and should be thereabouts. 

CANDYKANE (2) draws favourably in this race second up from a spell. Has generally gone best when able to lead. 

SUNNY COVE (3) is going better than his numerical form suggests. This race looks well within his reach with a suitable run. 

DIGBY DEMON (8) was a winner three runs ago. Going well enough to figure from a suitable draw.

SUGGESTED BET: TAURUS BROMAC (5) to win. 

RACE 8

BETTING BARON (6) has taken on slightly stronger races in recent outings and hasn’t had a great deal of luck. This appears a race he could find himself on the front end and if that happens he should prove extremely hard to beat. 

MY GIRL BLAZE (4) has gate speed and has been improved recently. If she can cross early she has options. 

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7) draws awkwardly in this race. Looks a strong hope. 

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (8) looks one for the minor money if able to secure a soft run.
