The Magic Millions Gold Raceday will proceed on Saturday as a live site with all activations, functions and hospitality on offer.
Earlier today, the Magic Millions Gold meeting was transferred to the Sunshine Coast Turf Club after Gold Coast Turf Club and Queensland Racing Integrity Commission officials raised concerns with a section of the course proper near the 500m mark which had become discoloured.
As a result, the Gold Coast Turf Club will still host the intended trackside party, featuring multiple Daryl Braithwaite concert sets as well as three Mashton Kutcher DJ sets.
The mounting yard will turn into a live site for the day, with the races as they happen in the Sunshine Coast being played.
Magic Millions ambassadors will all be attending on the Gold Coast as planned - including Zara Phillips, her husband and former English rugby star Mike Tindall, Queensland State of Origin coach Billy Slater and his wife Nicole and polo player Nacho Figueras and wife Delfina Blaquier.
General admission gets access to the two Daryl Braithwaite sets - being played after the 6.05pm race and the 6.40pm race. It also gets access to the DJ Mashton Kutcher sets.
Meanwhile, the Sunshine Coast Turf Club will throw the gates open for the transferred meeting at Corbould Park.
GCTC members will also receive reciprocal rights at the Sunshine Coast, with presentations to be conducted at both venues.
