Form Analysis: Redcliffe January 2

RACE 1 

ELIARN (2) looked to have found her race last start before making a mid race error. She is yet to show gate speed which could make her task slightly more difficult. She looks the clear standout top pick. 

FLY BURRA (3) ran well last start when forced wide early he battled away well late for fourth. The winner of that race Perfectly Quirky has gone on to win again. 

FRANKIE GIRL (7) ran into third last start off a comfortable trip. Looks likely to do no work from the draw. 

LIGHT UP LOVEY (6) appears to be one of the better credentialed horses in this race. Has to navigate a wide draw and may be forced to work.

SUGGESTED BET: ELIARN (2) to win.

RACE 2 

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (7) looked to set to race away to a fairly easy win last start before locking wheels which ultimately cost him the race. He has an awkward draw this time which appears to make things tougher. 

MY ULTIMATE LUKA (3) looked likely to be right in the finish last start before locking wheels with stablemate My Ultimate Mario. 

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (1) took on a strong trial field recently and she rated decent time herself. She has the draw to dictate in the early stages. 

CAPTAIN BOAK (2) hasn’t seemingly put it all together yet in his time so far in QLD. Appears to have ability.

RACE 3

CONVAIR HUSTLER (4) is a gate speed. If he is able to find the front in this race he’d take plenty of beating after what was a good run last start when forced to do the work. 

THREE CHORD RIFF (1) hasn’t been racing at her absolute best in recent outings. She led two starts ago and faded late. She has the draw to dictate. 

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (9) ran on strongly last start and was only just nabbed late. This race looks similar and he should be thereabouts again. 

SUBTLE CHAY (6) faces a difficult task here where he will be attempting to go back to back. He has the widest gate to overcome in an even race.

RACE 4 

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3) has good gate speed and this looks a race he might be able to zip across in the early stages to lead them up. He ran well last start behind two smart horses in Our Benson and Our Indifference. 

GLENLEDI BOY (7) raced well last start when running into second. He hasn’t had the best of luck in running and with even luck in this race he should be thereabouts. 

THE TIGER ARMY (2) was held up last start without a clear run. This race looks suitable if he can secure the right run. 

ROLLING BONUS (1) took a trail two starts ago and was able to score. He may look to adopt similar tactics in this race.

RACE 5

STUDLEIGH DARCEY (1) didn’t have much luck last start when tightened which caused him to make a break. He battled on well there late and this race looks suitable from a good draw. 

BERTILS FIREFOX (3) was crossed in the early stages last start and had no luck after that. He raced best when saved for one run at them late and if he can secure that run in this race he’d be very hard to beat. 

SCHOOBY (2) has good gate speed and was a much improved run last start when leading and just beaten late. This looks another race he can secure a good run up on the speed. 

GET ME OUTTA HERE (9) took on a stronger race last start. This looks more suitable.

RACE 6 

OCEAN LANE (1) has been racing in great form of late. Has drawn ideally and does have some gate speed which should allow him to dictate early. 

ENGLISH DANCE (5) scored a win after secure a good run last start. This looks tougher from a wide draw but he is not hopeless. 

TACTFILLY MIRACLE (8) generally does her best racing when saved for one run at them. Had no luck last start when dragged out of it by a tiring leader. 

MOUNT HERCULES (6) is a capable sit sprinter.

RACE 7

FLO RYDA (8) had no luck last start when held up at a crucial stage before hitting the line strongly. This race looks suitable and has a suitable trailing draw. 

BETTING JEWEL (5) has been racing in stronger company in recent starts. Can be running on strongly late in this race. Has raced well at this track previously. 

MISSTREPO (6) races well at this track and trip. Looks likely to need luck from the wide draw. 

DIEGO DELGADO (4) hasn’t been beaten far in recent starts. Was held up for a clear run at a crucial stage two runs ago.

SUGGESTED BET: BETTING JEWEL (5) to win. 

RACE 8

ROSEANNE RUBY (7) had no luck last start. Once clear she flashed through late and was only beaten 3.8 metres. Looks likely to secure a good run. 

ZACH LOWE (6) ran on strongly in the concluding stages. Looks a tricky draw for him again in this race but he is going well enough to figure. 

KNOCKAWARWON (2) has been running on strongly in recent outings. He has got a long way back in recent races after being restrained in the early stages. From gate 2 he is likely to settle much closer in this race. 

JOGALONG COOP (1) dictates the map in the early stages. Can figure in the minor money with the right run.

RACE 9

MAJOR SLIP UP (1) is having his fourth run here back from a spell. He has previously won at the trip and rated decent time over the middle distance. He was well beaten last start but didn’t appear to have much luck when forced to the rear of the field. 

MISTER DOMINGO (9) took on a stronger race last start won by Bretts Red. He likes racing at this track and trip looks a top chance. 

GOODOLDBOYSANDBEER (6) was left without cover last start in a race they rolled along a solid tempo. He did well to hang on for fourth there and this looks no tougher. 

MAJOR LINCOLN (8) has a win at this track and trip in what was probably an easier race. Hasn’t had favourable barriers in recent starts.
