Form Analysis: Redcliffe February 27

RACE 1 

YUKON BE SERIOUS (8) took on a much tougher race last start at Albion Park. Draws to do no work early which is how she generally races best. 

CAPTAIN BART (2) is coming into this race third up from a spell. Battled away into fourth last holding his position in what was a sharp enough last half. 

CEDAR CREEK FALLS (3) has been racing well. Had a very favourably run last start and wasn’t quite able to finish it off there. May be suited by a step back to 1780.

PERFECTLY QUIRKY (4) has good gate speed and if she found the front she’d run a race.

RACE 2 

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4) raced on Friday in one of the Ultimate Drivers championship races and ran a very good second. This race looks even easier and he looks very hard to beat. 

PERFECT FEELING (6) was able to find the top on Friday and ran well to finish in second. Draws widest in this race which certainly makes the task harder. 

MUCHO GUAPA (5) worked around to the breeze and was well beaten last start. May be better saved up for one run over the 2040 journey. 

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (8) looks well suited in this company. Should get a good run through.

RACE 3

TOMMY BLIGH (1) showed gate speed last start before being left without cover. He battled on extremely well there not beaten far. Looks hard to beat if he can lead. 

GOOD WORD THAT (7) made up very good ground on Friday at Albion Park running into second. This race looks suitable and he should get a good run through early. 

SHEREACTS (6) took on a stronger race last start where she had the perfect run and battled on for third. Looks tough from the draw. 

TACKAS LAST DANCE (8) has options in the early stages. Could secure a very good run three back on the pegs and was a very dominant winner last start.

RACE 4 

TIGER TOMMY (8) got a long way back last start was badly held up before flashing home. This race looked easier and she looks very hard to beat from a good draw. 

ISLA AND ADDIE (2) took on a stronger race last start and battled away to not be beaten too far. This looks a lot more suitable and she would run a race if she found the top. 

THERESACHANCE (9) is generally best when rolling out in front. He does look well graded in this race and despite the outside back row draw he looks a chance. 

FOR NO REASON (7) draws to follow a horse with reasonable gate speed. Needs luck.

RACE 5

THE HARRIS HAWK (2) ran on well into third last start at Albion Park. He draws well in gate 

TAYLORS FOUR (6) scored a dominant win last start after leading. Looks tougher from the wide gate this time. 

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3) has good gate speed and may be able to zip across in the early stages. She has been racing well enough to figure. 

DIPPED IN SILVER (1) should secure a good run from the ideal gate. Has been racing well. 

SELECTIONS: THE HARRIS HAWK (2), TAYLORS FOUR (6), BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3), DIPPED IN SILVER (1)

SUGGESTED BET: THE HARRIS HAWK (2) to win. 

RACE 6 

GO THE RED (8) raced well last start doing all the work and being narrowly beaten. He has raced well at the trip before and should be hard to beat. 

FAVREAU (2) enjoys racing over the middle trip at Redcliffe rarely out of the money. He finished off strongly last start into third. 

CANDYKANE (1) has been in very good form scoring in her last two races. She draws the inside gate and appears likely to get every chance again. 

ALWAYS PROMISE ME (3) scored a good win last start when doing the work at Redcliffe.

SUGGESTED BET: GO THE RED (8) to win. 

RACE 7

DOCTA FEELGOOD (1) did the work last start outside of Hes Sweet and was able to battle on gamely to be beaten just 5.9 metres there. Draws the inside gate and has always been a horse that goes best in front. 

CALL ME KEITH (7) follows a quick beginner and should get a really favourably run in this race leaders back. If the race is run to suit he can certainly figure. 

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (3) had no luck when 3 wide most of the way in a recent run. Should be able to get down to the running line and can figure from there. 

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (8) has options in the early stages whether he goes to the pegs or stays in the running line.

RACE 8

SKYGIRL (9) is in good form. She just did too much work last start and was entitled to tire late. She scored a dominant win her run prior. 

ACCELERE (8) can often find trouble in his races getting back and running on late. He was luckless last start when held up most of the race. 

ENGLISH DANCE (1) has good gate speed and likely looks to hold the front in the early stages. He powered to the line for third on Friday at Albion Park. 

WAR CLUB (3) needs things to suit in his races given his sit sprint pattern. The trip looks suitable and he can be running on.
