Racing Queensland (RQ) confirms that the race meeting scheduled for Doomben on Wednesday, March 12 has been abandoned due to continual rain in the area making the track unsuitable for racing.
Additionally, RQ confirms that the Brisbane Racing Club race meeting scheduled for Brisbane Racing Club at Eagle Farm on Tuesday, March 11 has been transferred to Wednesday, March 12.
The following three races, from the Doomben meeting on Wednesday, March 12 that has been abandoned, have now been added to the Eagle Farm race meeting.
- Class 2 Plate (Set Weights) 1600 metres
- Benchmark 65 Handicap 2000 metres, now 2162 metres
- Maiden Plate (Set Weights) 1600 metres
Jockey declaration deadline for these three races is 3pm Monday, March 10.
New race times will be provided shortly.
RQ also confirms that an additional three races have been added to the program for the Brisbane Racing Club at Eagle Farm race meeting on Saturday, March 15. They are:
- Benchmark 65 Handicap 1400m, $38,000
- Class 1 Handicap 1200m, $38,0000
- 3YO Maiden Plate (Set Weights), 1200m, $40,000 + QTIS
Nominations for these races close at 8am Tuesday, March 11.
