Form Analysis: Redcliffe March 13

RACE 1 

RIVER ROCK (2) led last start and battled away for third. She looks the leader again in this race from a low draw. 

MAJOR MISCHIEF (7) has been racing without a great deal of luck. Can be driven a number of ways and is capable of working in his races. 

MARKSMAN (6) ran well two starts ago when forced to do plenty of work in the run battling away for a good second. This doesn’t look any tougher.

SPORTY AZZ (8) was well beaten last start from a wide draw. Should be fitter in this race following a second in a recent trial. 

SELECTIONS: RIVER ROCK (2), MAJOR MISCHIEF (7), MARKSMAN (6), SPORTY AZZ (8)

SUGGESTED BET: RIVER ROCK (2) to win.

RACE 2 

TIGER TOMMY (3) was brilliant when running into third two starts ago from a long way back when only getting clear very late. She then went around a short priced favourite last start in what was a suitable race on paper and was quite plain late. Can bounce back in this. 

TACKAS LAST DANCE (7) is a horse that loves to race on the pegs and has been successful in similar company given that run. Likely to be close enough in the run. 

ARTISTIC SAINT (1) trialled just fairly before an indifference first up effort. He does race best when able to find the front and may get that opportunity in this race. 

HEAVENLY WISDOM (2) hit the line nicely late last start once into the clear and draws favourably in this race.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 3

MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC (2) was able to take out the consolation of the QBRED Triad 2YO colts and geldings race two starts ago which looks good form for this race. He was just fair last start when first up from a spell but should derive benefit from that run and does look the leader in this race. 

CEDAR CREEK FALLS (8) scored a good win last start when able to find the front and fight them all off. Unlikely to get the same favours from the back row draw in this race but does have the quality to take this out. 

LITTLEMICKEY (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row. Has been racing well and was good running into second last start. 

MISS SYRAH (5) has been impressive this time in. Draws a wide gate but could figure with the right run.

SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS MIGHTY MAC (2) to win. 

RACE 4 

OUR BENSON (5) scored a good win two starts ago when leading. Didn’t have the best of luck last start when finishing off well in a strong race. 

ART JESTER (4) looks well placed in this race class wise and has been good in his last few starts not beaten far. He is likely to get back and run on strongly late. 

CALL ME KEITH (2) has very good gate speed and options in this race without any back line runners. He should be thereabouts given a good trip. 

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) has drawn favourably in this race and is racing in reasonable form. His second to Jamaican Rock three starts ago looks good enough to see him figure in this race.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 5

TREACHEROUS GABBY (9) can mix her form at times and generally seems to race best when on the pegs. This does look a suitable race despite those things and she shouldn’t be too far away. 

BETTING BARON (8) is racing better than his numerical form. He was forced to do the work last start and battled on well there. 

ALTANA BLUE (5) ran fourth in a stand start at Marburg last start which looks strong form for a race of this nature. 

GOTTA DREAM (6) draws a wide gate and generally does his best work up on speed. Will need a few things to go his way. 

SELECTIONS: TREACHEROUS GABBY (9), BETTING BARON (8), ALTANA BLUE (5), GOTTA DREAM (6)

SUGGESTED BET: TREACHEROUS GABBY (9) to win. 

RACE 6 

GOOD WORD THAT (7) was buried away on the pegs last start and didn’t get clear until it was too late. Ran a good second the start prior and this looks a very suitable race. 

KEAYANG TARA (2) drew poorly last start and got well back in a race won by Monopollie at Albion Park. Looks to have drawn ideally in this race and should find this a bit easier. 

ROYAL WINKLE (1) was luckless last start when badly held up. He has the gate speed to dictate in the early stages and should be thereabouts. 

OYSTER STRIDE (3) hasn’t had things to suit in recent outings. 

SELECTIONS: GOOD WORD THAT (7), KEAYANG TARA (2), ROYAL WINKLE (1), OYSTER STRIDE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: GOOD WORD THAT (7) to win. 

RACE 7

YELLA (1) has very good gate speed and looks the likely leader from gate one. He was first up for a new stable last start and raced when after facing the breeze at Marburg. 

MUCHO GUAPA (7) appears likely to secure a good run through early on the back of a gate speed horse. She should get every chance. 

MISTER HART (5) looks to be well graded in this race and despite the wide draw is clearly one of the top hopes. He can be driven a number of ways in this company. 

GET ME OUTTA HERE (8) worked hard in the early stages last start which proved the difference when narrowly defeated. 

SELECTIONS: YELLA (1), MUCHO GUAPA (7), MISTER HART (5), GET ME OUTTA HERE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: YELLA (1) to win. 

RACE 8

PUNTERS JEWEL (9) returns in this race off a solid trial at Redcliffe which he is likely to be improved from. He took on much stronger company last start in a race won by The Janitor at Albion Park. 

WAR CLUB (5) is likely to get back from the gate in this race and can be running on late. He is rarely too far away when the tempo suits in races. 

OCTOBER RACKETEER (8) got a long way back last start and was struggling to find clear running until very late last start. Should get a reasonably run through early in this race. 

TOMMY BLIGH (1) appears to be the likely leader from the inside gate in this race. He worked hard last start and was able to battle on quite well in a time that would see him competitive in this.

SUGGESTED BET: PUNTERS JEWEL (9) to win. 

RACE 9

ARNOLD STREET (1) is a gate speed horse that draws ideally in gate one. His recent runs have been a significant improvement on his form prior to that and he looks a good hope. 

SHEREACTS (7) looks likely to get a good run through in the early stages. She is not a horse with really quick quarter in her and will likely be hoping for a genuine tempo. 

HARRY KANE (5) is having his first run for the stable of Matt Elkins. Looks well graded in this company and is likely to be hard to beat first up should he be ready to go. 

SKYGIRL (8) draws to follow through a horse with good gate speed. She can be driven tough and shouldn’t be too far away.
