Racing Queensland has advised of updated prize money levels as part of the transition to The Q.

The adjustments reflect RQ’s ongoing commitment to the sustainability and growth of the industry whilst supporting participants through this transition.

The prize money levels will remain in place for the remainder of FY25 before being reviewed prior to FY26.

A key component of the changes is the introduction of an additional City Class race meeting each week at The Q, which doubles metropolitan racing opportunities for participants.

To accommodate this expansion, Provincial prize money will be equal to Class 3 prize money, and City prize money has also been adjusted slightly downward.

The overall prize money budget remains the same.

However, the revised prize money structure has been carefully considered to accommodate this expansion whilst maintaining competitive returns across all racing tiers.

Further details regarding specific prize money levels for all distances and grades of racing are available on the RQ website. RQ remains committed to working with industry stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and a successful future for greyhound racing in Queensland and at the new state-of-the-art facility.
