Racing Queensland update on ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred

Further to the impacts of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Racing Queensland advises the below changes to the thoroughbred (TAB meeting) racing program for the following week:

• Monday, March 10 – Mackay TC – proceeding as scheduled;
• Tuesday, March 11 – Brisbane RC at Eagle Farm (was previously BRC at Doomben on Friday, March 7).  Now rescheduled to Wednesday, March 12 (with the same fields retained) & replaces the Doomben meeting on this day which has been abandoned (refer below). Following the abandonment of Doomben, three additional races have been added to the Eagle Farm program which will now comprise 11 races.  Details of the transferred races will be confirmed under separate cover at short notice;
• Tuesday, March 11 – Emerald JC - proceeding as scheduled;
• Wednesday, March 12 – Brisbane RC at Doomben has been abandoned.  Instead, and as noted above, the Eagle Farm meeting from Tuesday has been rescheduled to this slot with three races added to the card.  The remaining races lost through the Doomben abandonment will be catered for with additional races being added to the Brisbane RC program at Eagle Farm on Saturday, March 15.  That Eagle Farm meeting will also now comprise 11 races.  Details of the transferred races will be confirmed under separate cover at short notice;
• Thursday, March 13 – Ipswich TC (previously replaced Gold Coast at Beaudesert).  Track is heavy post the rain deluge and three race distances have been amended (notified in earlier RQ dispatch) as a result;
• Friday, March 14 – Townsville TC - proceeding as scheduled;
• Friday, March 14 – Sunshine Coast TC (Night Meeting) - proceeding as scheduled;
• Saturday, March 15 – Aquis Park Gold Coast TC (QTIS Jewel Day) – rescheduled from Saturday, March 8 - proceeding as planned;
• Saturday, March 15 – Brisbane RC at Eagle Farm - proceeding as planned, noting comments above relative to three races being added to the card.  Program now comprises 11 races;
• Saturday, March 15 – Rockhampton JC- proceeding as planned;
• Saturday, March 15 – Toowoomba TC (Night Meeting)- proceeding as planned;
• Sunday, March 16 – Sunshine Coast TC - proceeding as planned, noting two extra races added to this meeting (refer earlier dispatches).  This is now a nine-race program; &
• Monday, March 17 – Gold Coast TC at Beaudesert – transferred from Thursday, March 13, and replaced with Ipswich TC (refer above).

RQ will provide specifics with regards to all program amendments arising from the aforementioned changes.
