Racing Queensland advises that the Doomben surface has been inspected ahead of the Friday, April 4 meeting.
At this stage, the meeting is proceeding with the track currently rated a Heavy 9, sections within the chutes are rated slightly worse.
Further rain overnight may place the meeting in jeopardy, with a further inspection of the surface set to take place early Friday morning.
QRIC has also advised that it has been necessary to amend the distances of races 2 and 3 on the programme. The two races were programmed for 1650m and will now be run over 1640m.
