RACE ONE

WONTYOUSTAYWITHME (2) was hitting the line with gusto last time out which was also her race debut, finishing 3m from the winner BARSBY. With the gate to press forward in the early stages, she can go one better.

JAMES ALFRED (5) got it all wrong last start when making his race debut, which saw him finish at the tail of the field. Having trialled in good order prior to that, he can look for an improved effort second up.

RALLY AROUND (7) was on debut last start when making a starting error that sees the ODM embargo enforced. Closing it out in good order after the mistake, he can feature here.

BEACHBABE CROCKER (1) eased from the middle of the line last time out and looking for short cuts was making good metres over the closing stages. The economical trip will suit.

SELECTIONS: WONTYOUSTAYWITHME (2), JAMES ALFRED (5), RALLY AROUND (7), BEACHBABE CROCKER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WONTYOUSTAYWITHME (2) to win

RACE TWO

Placed in both heat rounds of the McNeil Series as the favourite, FIVE OCLOCK GERRY (3) was supported to again go out as the punters elect in the final. Sent forward off the 10m and asked to work hard first over, he finds the right conditions to open the Australian account.

MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (6) made an error last start when he looked set to finish in the money but instead went unplaced. Striking trouble in the 3157 marathon the start prior, a return to mobile conditions looks in his favour and despite the wide gate, the smaller field size will help.

DARCYS FIREBALL (5) was an impressive winner first up in a heat of the McNeil series where he was having his first start in 15 months. Making a second up error, he can look to get back on track.

CALL ME TROUBLE (7) was left chasing a long way out in the marathon last start and was not a factor. Placed in successive runs in recent attempts, he will be better suited in this set up.

SELECTIONS: FIVE OCLOCK GERRY (3), MY ULTIMATE EDDIE (6), DARCYS FIREBALL (5), CALL ME TROUBLE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FIVE OCLOCK GERRY (3) to win

RACE THREE

Finishing her season in a flurry of victory that saw her win four straight, MONTEREY LASS (1) resume to start her 3YO term. Showing great manners and gait right through the season, she hit the board in all seven starts. This is a tough ask first up against experienced campaigners, but she has the edge.

MORE SURPRISES (7) was snookered on the poles in the McNeil Final and when spotting some space was strong to the line to grab the silver behind NORTHERN HEIGHTS. Making metres in the second heat round when 3rd, she can be making a late raid to challenge here.

BENJI HALL (5) found the leaders back here last start from the mobile and lost all momentum behind a tiring leader. With the right trip, he can be making a play in this line up.

SHEZA CHANCE (9) gets back behind the tapes for the first time this campaign following four starts behind the start car. Despite the big impost, sheza chance in this.

SELECTIONS: MONTEREY LASS (1), MORE SURPRISES (7), BENJI HALL (5), SHEZA CHANCE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTEREY LASS (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Yet to taste defeat since crossing the Tasman, WAIKAKA MAGIC (3) finds the right conditions to continue the streak. Sent forward from outside the front-line last start, he sat parked and was too strong for his opposition in a sub-52 mile. From the gate, this is in the #LeaderPeter wheelhouse.

INTO THE MYSTIC (2) will take benefit from her latest outing where she was returning from a spell. Pressing on to take control, she was collared in the closing stages to be just a half-neck from the winner APHRODITE. She can get handy to provide some form of challenge.

MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (5) returns to start his 4YO term after his last appearance at Menangle. A six-time winner, he has been to the trials twice to open the pipes and should improve off the run.

GLENEGLE VEE CEE (4) was unable to get across them last start and was exposed early before receiving cover and finishing midfield. He can be thereabouts again here.

SELECTIONS: WAIKAKA MAGIC (3), INTO THE MYSTIC (2), MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (5), GLENEGLE VEE CEE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WAIKAKA MAGIC (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Starting from the 20m tape last week, INSTANT DELIGHT (5) was put into the contest in the middle stages and worked hard outside the leader. Game in producing a fighting 2nd, she can overcome the handicap to claim a fifth win on this deck.

IGNITE (8) worked forward from the 10m tape here last week and once in control was able to stave off the closing challenge of INSTANT DELIGHT to claim a 2m margin. He returns to equal terms with the runner-up from last week, but some confidence can see him challenge.

VOLTAIN (2) made an error last start which ended her chances. Game the start prior when holding 3rd behind TUMULT, from the 20m tape, she can get the jump to feature.

ASPIRING VICTREE (1) returned from a spell last start where she looked a spent force at the 800, racing roughly and losing ground. Rallying strongly for the silver, she has the 20m advantage.

SELECTIONS: INSTANT DELIGHT (5), IGNITE (8), VOLTAIN (2), ASPIRING VICTREE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: INSTANT DELIGHT (5) to win

RACE SIX

VALLANI MAGIC (3) had been building towards a victory and franked that assessment when leading them throughout two runs back, fending them off in the closing stages for a neck margin in a PB rate. Holding on for 3rd last start, she can get handy from this gate to stake a claim.

GOODTIME CRACKER (5) started from inside the second line last start and was able to find the running line before making a late raid to finish midfield behind SII SEMPRE TILLY. Strong to the line the start prior, he will be better suited from this gate to issue a challenge.

BAIL DENIED (1) will take some benefit from his last outing when fresh up. Buried in the run, he made some impression in the closing stages and has the gate to grab minor money.

WICKED BEAUTY (9) faces a tough ask, tackling far more experienced campaigners at just her third race start. Resuming here, she produced a sharp trial to prepare and can chime in.

SELECTIONS: VALLANI MAGIC (3), GOODTIME CRACKER (5), BAIL DENIED (1), WICKED BEAUTY (9)
SUGGESTED BET: VALLANI MAGIC (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

Dropping back from Saturday night company, this looks a nice target for EMPRESS BYELINE (5). Snagged back from a wide gate last start, she was strong to the line over the closing stages when 3m from the winner AURORA JOY. With the right trip, she can arrive.

MISS CRUNCHY (6) returns to the track here for the first of her 3YO outings, wrapping up 2024 as a three-time winner in her 2YO season. Claiming victory in her last start, she has trialled once in readiness for the return and despite an awkward gate, can stake a claim first up.

HELL IM SMOOTH (9)
makes his first 3YO appearance following a 2YO term that realised two wins and two minors in seven appearances. Last seen in the Triad Final, he can feature fresh.

SII SEMPRE TILLY (4) was building towards a victory and franked that assessment when claiming victory here last week in a career PB. This is not out of reach.

SELECTIONS: EMPRESS BYELINE (5), MISS CRUNCHY (6), HELL IM SMOOTH (9), SII SEMPRE TILLY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: EMPRESS BYELINE (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

Starting favourite last start when eased from gate 5, IRON CLAD (6) has another wide gate to overcome as he steps out for his third run this campaign. Looming strongly last start, he went within a half-head of victory and despite the gate can look to capitalise.

R ELEVEN ART (9) was sent forward last start to take control and from the front was gunned down over the closing stages of the 2138 as AIR EXPRESS launched to score. Producing a strong effort when working hard the start prior, he can be pressing through to issue a challenge.

HAY THERE JOE (10) was second up from a spell last time out and using inside runs was able to grab the silver. Tightened from the outing, he can feature again.

APOLLO DREAMZ (5) was forced to sit parked here on Friday and despite the tough run was still giving on the line when 2m astern of the winner. He is never too far from the action.

SELECTIONS: IRON CLAD (6), R ELEVEN ART (9), HAY THERE JOE (10), APOLLO DREAMZ (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IRON CLAD (6) to win

RACE NINE

Faced with gate 6 here last week, ROYAL SPEECH (7) was sent forward and forcing the issue, worked to the front and was never headed in claiming a 3m margin. Striking trouble the start prior, he faces the tough gate but looks to have their measure.

MAJOR JELLIS (1) found the front from gate 2 before releasing last start and then holding on for the silver. Taking benefit from that run which was his first in six weeks, he comes up with the inside gate here and secures his chance to throw down a challenge.

OUR MAJOR DAY (6) has been faced with gate 7 at each of his past two starts. Snagged back last week and then facing too big a task, he will be hoping for some tempo related favours.

ALTA EQUUS (2) has placed at his past two starts, the latest when holding 3rd behind ROYAL SPEECH after attacking the line strongly. He can be handy.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL SPEECH (7), MAJOR JELLIS (1), OUR MAJOR DAY (6), ALTA EQUUS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL SPEECH (7) to win
