THE QUEENSLAND RACING CARNIVAL IS WHERE CHAMPIONS EMERGE

Last year, it was Think About It and Kovalica that shone brightest, and this year the tradition continues.

Staged over 10 action-packed weeks, more than $28 million in prize money will go on the line, including nine million-dollar races and 55 black-type features across 11 race meetings.

The Winter Carnival heats up on June 1 with two Group 1 events taking centre stage – the Kingsford Smith Cup and the Queensland Derby, as the road to the Stradbroke draws closer.

The Kingsford Smith Cup will again be run for $1 million, with the 2023 edition taken out by eventual Stradbroke winner Think About It.

The Queensland Derby will also prove to be fiercely contested, with recent champions of the $1 million race including Kovalica, Pinarello and Mr Quickie.
