Race 1: BALLARD TRANSPORT QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000 metres

BAGGER TRICKS – Slow to begin.

SAURABH – Bounded out of the gates and was eased off heels shortly after the start.

FLAMBOYANT MISS – Eased when tightened by an outside runner shortly after the start.

ORCHID AVENUE – Lost the tongue tie on the way to the barrier and was unable to be replaced.

TAFFALINA – Shifted in shortly after the start tightening runners to the inside. Jockey R. Achini was reprimanded and reminded of his obligation to keep his mount straight.

CHANDELIER LASS – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover.

Race 2: L & L PLANT HIRE CLASS 3 PLATE - 1000 metres

ARTANIS was a late scratching at 12pm as there were no riders available.

DIAMONEEZE – Extremely slow to begin and travelled wide with no cover.

MOZZINATOR – Travelled wide with no cover.

FRISKY CRUISER – Rider was fined the sum of $200 for his use of the whip prior to the 100m.

BONTEMPELLI – Slow to begin and then tightened at the 800m by outside runner. Shifted out in the home straight to gain clear running.

Race 3: BELYANDO BRACELET OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres

PEACE TALKS – Slow to begin.

SCHOORWIN – Travelled wide with no cover.

LAST PARDEE – Jumped inwards.

REGAL PRINCE – Contacted at the start.

Race 4: IMPARJA TV CLASS B HANDICAP- 1200 metres


ROCKET ON BOARD – Contacted at the start.

DIAMOND KAZ – Jumped away awkwardly and raced greenly throughout.

GOODNESS GRACIOUS – Travelled wide with no cover.

Race 5: J & J CONTRACTING BM 65 HANDICAP - 1200 metres

FINNIGAN’S FOLLY was a late scratching at 2.38pm as there was no rider available.

BANCHORY LASS – Jumped away awkwardly.

HUGHIE AND ME – Jumped awkwardly.

POWERFUL JET – Travelled wide with cover.

CONQUISTADOR – Slow to begin.

WICKED WOODY – Eased shortly after the start as an outside runner shifted ground.

ZAHA DREAM – Shifted in shortly after the start.

Race 6: ALPHA COMMUNITY CUP OPEN HANDICAP – 1700 metres

PREEN QUEEN – Jumped away awkwardly.

CUPSTER – Jumped away awkwardly.

WAR HORSE – Shifted in over the concluding stages and had to be corrected on several occasions.

A DEPENDANT – Hampered over the concluding stages by an outside runner laying in.

PREEN QUEEN – Shifted in down the home straight.

Upon returning to scale jockey D. McMaster the rider of A DEPENDANT who ran fourth in the race requested to view the patrol footage over the concluding stages. After viewing the film jockey D. McMaster lodged a protest against the third placed horse WAR HORSE ridden by jockey S. McCullum. After taking evidence from the parties involved and viewing the patrol film, the protest was dismissed and correct weight given.
