Race 1: Enjoy Your Day At The Track Class 1 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – FIVESTARS          2nd – PRIME SHADOW  3rd – WRITTEN INTENT 4th – BEYOND LIMITS
 
Jockey G. Watson lost his whip at the 300 metre point.
 
Race 2: CNW Electrical Wholesalers QTIS Maiden Plate 1100 metres:
1st – DEVASTATING RHYTHM   2nd – MISS SONIC BOOM          3rd – MONASHEE LASS            4th – WILD AZ WILL
 
ROTHESAY SPECIAL - Hampered at the start. Eased off another runner at the 900 metres.
 
Jockey G. Watson advised Stewards that the gate on barrier 1 was slow to open.  Correct weight was delayed as the film of the race was reviewed.  It was ascertained that the gate may have been marginally slow to open, however it was deemed to have no effect on the outcome of the race nor to the chances of ROTHESAY SPECIAL.
 
Jockey P. Cullen lost his whip at the 100 metre point.
 
Following the running of this race Stewards advised Starter Mr R Gardiner that barrier one should remain vacant and all horses started from barrier two.
 
Race 3: Panorama Views Estate Benchmark 50 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – HONEST FRIEND  2nd – SHOWMORE        3rd – HIDDEN REIGN     4th – VEE FORCE
 
Trainer G. Baker advised Stewards that VEE FORCE would endeavour to be raced forward if possible in the race. Jumped awkwardly. Settled mid-field.
 
HOW ABOUT ME - Stood flat-footed as the gates opened and missed the start (20 lengths). Upon return to scale the gelding was found to have bled from both nostrils. Under AR53A the gelding will be barred from racing for 3 months and only free to resume racing after a 1000 metre gallop in the presence of Stewards.
 
WILD DIVA - Inconvenienced by another runner at the start.
 
HIDDEN REIGN - Inconvenienced by another runner shortly after the start. Eased off another runner at approximately the 100 metres.
 
Apprentice Amanda Thomson pleaded guilty to careless riding (137a) where at approximately the 1000 metre point crossed when not sufficiently clear of another runner.  In assessing penalty Stewards took into account the apprentice’s record and issued a severe reprimand.
 
Race 4: Raps Surf & Turf Lord Derby Stakes Benchmark 60 Handicap (Division 1) 1200 metres:
1st – BLAME GAME       2nd – WISHFUL 3rd – PERFECT WEAPON          4th – DAZZLE ON
 
NEWSPAPER – Slow into stride.
 
GUNDY STAR - Hung out after the start and raced ungenerously for the first 200 metres.
 
Jockey S. Wiseman lost her whip at the 400 metre point.
 
Race 5: Raps Surf & Turf Lord Derby Stakes Benchmark 60 Handicap (Division 2) 1400 metres:
1st – FLYING ONE MORE          2nd – SHE’S A RINGO   3rd – SHE’S WANTED    4th – EIRIAN
 
SONIC BOOMER - Slow into stride. Checked off heels at the 1000 metres.
 
PROUD WARRIOR - Slow into stride.
 
SHE’S A RINGO - Eased at the 1200 metres.
 
I’M RURRBELLIOUS - Eased the pace at the 1150 metres.
 
FLYING ONE MORE - Eased off heels at the 1100 metres. Bumped another runner at the 400 metres.
 
SHE’S WANTED - Bumped another runner at the 1000 metres. Bumped another runner at the 400 metres.
 
EIRIAN - Bumped another runner at the 1000 metres.
 
Race 6: Ladies Day Out Spring Cup Open Handicap 1800 metres:
1st – HILARIOUS HONOUR        2nd – FIELDS OF TUSCANY      3rd – ALDREN   4th – MARLAIS
 
ALDREN - Slow into stride.
 
TURN UP THE VOLUME - Reared as the gates opened dislodging the rider. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr T Rowe in relation to the gelding’s performance.  Mr Rowe stated that the horse has had 25 starts and has never shown any sign of this style of behaviour previously.  Stewards advised Mr Rowe to take the necessary steps to prevent a reoccurrence of this behaviour and placed a warning on the horse.
