Race 1: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB QTIS BM 55 HANDICAP - 1000 metres

ANOTHER SHADE was a late scratching at 11.30am as there were no available jockeys.

BLUE MAGNATE – Bounded as the gates opened jumping awkwardly losing ground. Jockey
Brown stated the gelding resented the nose band.

GO SAI – Approaching the 800m was tightened for room and had to be eased when an outside runner shifted ground. Leaving the 200m was tightened between runners shifting ground and was eased and lost momentum and position in race.

WICKED WOODY – Shifted in down the home straight and tightened an inside runner momentarily.

EQUAL RULER – Approaching the 800m shifted in tightening inside runners momentarily.
Jockey Achini was reprimanded and reminded to keep his mount straight. Then shifted ground
down the home straight and leaving the 200m hampered an outside runner and took its
rightful position in the race. Jockey Achini was charged and pleaded guilty under AR 137(a) for careless riding and his licence was suspended for 10 days from midnight 11/06/2016 to midnight the 21/06/2016.

Race 2: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB OPEN HANDICAP - 1000 metres

SMART PATROL, STRATEGIC WEAPON and CONQUISTADOR were late scratchings at 11:30am as there were no jockeys available.

NO OTHER WAY – Slow to begin, jumping inwards contacting another runner.

LAST PARDEE – Fractious prior to jumping and then jumped away awkwardly.

PEACE TALKS – Contacted by outside runner at the start.

OUR HUSSEY- Fractious in barriers prior to the start, then travelled wide with no cover.

FOUR IRON – Lay in down the home straight.

TAYSTAR – Travelled wide with no cover.

Race 3: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB CLASS 6 PLATE - 1300 metres

BANCHORY LASS – Contacted at start by outside runner.

AXFORD – Contacted at start by inside runner.

SPURRED UP – Jumped inwards.

VALHALLA MIST – Travelled wide with no cover.

Race 4: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB BM 45 HANDICAP - 1200 metres

YUM SING, SHAFTSMAN and OUR MAGIC MADGE were late scratchings at 11:30am as there were no jockeys available.

READY FOR ROYALTY – Was slow away and could muster no early speed.

HIGHWAY CHILD – Shifted ground approaching the 300m.

Race 5: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB RATINGS BAND 0-50 HANDICAP - 1600 metres

NORTHERN MAGIC – Over raced in the early stages of the event.

YULETIDE – Could not muster early speed.

Race 6: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB BM 65 HANDICAP – 1600 metres

NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Slow to begin.

WAR HORSE – Slow away and then over raced in the early stages.

WILD GODSON – Slow to begin and jockey ACHINI was reprimanded on his use of the whip down the home straight.
