Race 1: SHELL SERVICE STATION QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP - 1000 metres

BONTEMPELLI – Slow to begin.

ROCKET ON BOARD – Contacted at start by inside runner.

ATTRACTION – Jumped outwards making contact with outside runner.

NAYTELLRHI WORLD – Jockey D.Rewald was reprimanded on his whip use down the straight.

Race 2: REGIONAL EXPRESS MAIDEN PLATE - 1200 metres

PUBLIC FORTUNE – Was fractious in the barriers prior to jumping, going down in the hind quarters and required a tail hold.

NOBODY’S FOOL – Blundered out of the gates and stumbled for several strides then could muster no early speed.

MISHANI ISTANA – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover.

MY MATE MARTO – Dislodged apprentice J. Brand returning to scale and there was slight delay in correct weight as the gelding was caught and both jockey and rider returned to the mounting yard. Jockey Brand was uninjured.

Race 3: O’BRIENS GARAGE CLASS 3 PLATE - 1300 metres

SPURSYN – Jumped away awkwardly and was then slow into stride.

SHAFTSMAN – Slow into stride.

SPURRED UP – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover.

Race 4: GORDON ‘POPEYE’ SAUNDERS MEMORIAL BM 45 HANDICAP - 1300 metres

YULETIDE was a late scratching at 12:30pm on veterinary advice. The gelding was lame in the near fore leg.

MEZZANOTTE – Jumped outwards.

REIGNING TO WIN – Travelled wide for the majority with no cover.

Race 5: XXXX GOLD CUP OPEN HANDICAP - 1600 metres


INSTINCTIVE MOVE – Slow into stride and could muster no early speed.

NEPTUNE EXPRESS – Slow to begin and travelled wide with no cover. Upon returning to scale it was noted the gelding had blood coming from one nostril. A post race veterinary inspection showed a scratch just inside the nostril and no other abnormalities.
