MeekClerk of Scales – G. Scott Judge – M. Miller / L. BaldersonVeterinarian – Dr D. McKenzieStarter – M. Cullen Race 1: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB BM 60 HANDICAP 1000 metres THE SNOOPERSTAR -- Jockey R. McMahon was reprimanded for using his whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, 1 more than permitted under AR132(7)(a)(ii). FLASH FIBIAN – Jumped away awkwardly contacting PURPLE TRUMPET. Lay in down the home straight. MOLLY GOLIGHTLY – Brushed by another runner near the 100m. KING CONI – Shifted out a stride after the start contacting PURPLE TRUMPET. ASBURY PARK – Fractious prior to jumping, then jumped away awkwardly. Trainer advised that the gelding attained a laceration to the off side hind in running. PURPLE TRUMPET – Buffeted between runners shortly after the start losing ground. ALGEROBA – Travelled wide for much of the race. Race 2: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB MAIDEN PLATE 1000 metres BURRACOMBE – Refused to load. Late scratching at 1:41pm. Deductions announced with correct weight as 5 cents in the dollar value of the win bet and 7 cents in the dollar value of the win bet and all monies invested on BURRACOME returned. Trainer R. Little was advised the gelding would have to undergo a Barrier Trial prior to racing again. PRIZED ARTIST – Reared prior to jumping and was fractious in the gates. HYPE WIRE – Slow into stride and travelled wide in the early and middle stages. TYPHOON TALAYAH – Travelled wide for much of the race. BITTERSWEET PLUCK – Slow to begin. SHORT TAKES – Jumped away awkwardly. Race 3: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1100 metres There was a delay to the start of this race with NITT WHIT dislodging jockey D. Baker behind the barriers. The gelding was quickly caught and underwent a veterinary inspection and passed fit to race. Jockey D. Baker was attended to by ambulance officials and cleared to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. ALLELUIA – Attempted to buck shortly after the start, then shifted in when restrained. Travelled wide for much of the race. STAR TWINKLE – Slow to begin. PARA PARK – Slow to begin, then travelled wide for much of the race. REBEL WOWZER – Over raced in the early stages. Galloped onto heels near the 850m then continued to race in restricted room for several strides. NITT WHITT – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages. LOVE OVER GOLD & REBEL WOWZER bump on jumping. Race 4: 2022 BATTLE OF THE BUSH BARCALDINE QUALIFER OPEN HANDICAP 1200 metres KEDLESTON – Slow to begin. JARHEAD – Travelled wide for much of the race. BURDEN – Held up for clear running in the home straight. WICKED WENCH – Raced with no hind shoes after dislodging both shoes enroute to the barriers, with an announcement made prior to the race starting. Over raced in the early stages. Race 5: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB CLASS 4 PLATE 1300 metres GOD’S PENNY – Over raced in the early stages. SIZZLESUN – Heavily contacted at the start losing ground. YULE MY HERO – Over raced in the middle stages. ABSOLUTE GLORY – Jumped outwards heavily contacting SIZZLESUN. Race 6: BARCALDINE RACE CLUB BM 45 HANDICAP 1300 metres PORTABELLE – Caught 4 deep for much of the race. SET TO FIGHT – Underwent a veterinary inspection prior to the start and was passed fit to race. Jumped away awkwardly, nearing the 250m sustained an injury to the offside front tendon and was retired from the race. Trainer T. Austin was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing again. REALLY REALLY GOOD – Jumped away awkwardly losing ground.
