After doing so he was satisfied with the judges placings. NUGS POCKET - was slow to begin and raced wide CRIMSON STAR - hung out after passing the 400m then raced wide Race 2: NORTH BUNDABERG FENCING SUPPLIES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE – 1090M DAUNTING QUEEN – Stood flat footed and lost considerable ground. Trainer M Hassam was advised that a warning would be put on the filly for barrier manners CRAIGLEA SIMMO – Slow to begin MOHICAN MAGIC – Stewards accepted the explanation for the late declaration of N Evans as the rider. Was reluctant to stretch out in the early stages. Rider N Evans reported that the colt resented the kick back throughout. Race 3: BROTHERS SPORTS CLUB OPEN H’CAP – 1090M JEBS BOY – Raced wide throughout ALL HOST – Jumped awkward ALS BRIEFS – Was bumped shortly after the start Race 4: MEN OF LEAGUE FOUNDATION CLASS B H’CAP– 1212M PEALS LAD – Raced wide in the early stages. Rider reported that the gelding may have got its tongue over the bit. HIDDEN ANGEL – Hung out in the home straight and finished tailed off. Post-race Vet examination revealed no significant findings however the mare was exhibiting some slow post-race recovery BLOOMERANG – Raced wide after passing 700m Race 5: ASCOT HOMES BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 1380M BETTER IDEA - Stewards accepted the explanation for the late declaration of J HOOPERT as the rider CRAIGLEA VELVET – Began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. After passing the 1000m when being restrained got its head up for a short distance MR METICULOUS – Raced wide throughout. Rider R FAEHR was severely reprimanded for the use of his whip prior to the 100m, in determining penalty stewards were mindful of his recent good record. COME BY CHANCE – after passing the 600m was shifted wider to improve.
