Following the running of race two, Stewards and a delegation of senior riders inspected an area of the track passing the crossing near the 1100m, where two runners in Race 2 had put in awkward strides. Subsequently, riders in general discussed the matter and expressed the view it was not safe to ride across this section of the track in a race. After consultation with trainers and jockeys and acting under AR21(f)(i), Stewards postponed this race to a later date.
