GENERAL
 
Apprentice N. Lenitni was ill and advised that a medical clearance would be required prior to race riding again. Riding replacements were made as per, Stewards Raceday Summary.
 
 
RACE 1: DALBY RURAL SUPPLIES/EDGAR & WOOD/PACIFIC SEEDS MAIDEN PLATE 1300M
 
RED RIOT – Slow to muster early speed.
 
WAITING GAME – Became awkward near the 1000m.
 
WAKOOL – Steadied momentarily leaving the 1000m.
 
MISS DRUMBEATS – Began awkwardly and bumped GOLD CROWN. Steadied momentarily leaving the 1000m.
 
GOLD CROWN – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
CRAFTY AQUILA – Raced keen in the middle stages.
 
DRUMS OF THUNDER – Began awkwardly. On return to scale Jockey L. Tilley reported that the gelding did not handle the racing surface.
 
OUR MATE TURTLE – Slow to begin.
 
MONTEAL JOE – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
RACE 2: ELDERS/A&B GRAINS/DALBY LEAGUES CLUB CLASS B HANDICAP 1300M
 
RUMBA LAARA – On return to scale, jockey J. King reported that the mare travelled comfortably throughout however when asked to improve near 400m, failed to respond and commenced to weaken in the home straight. Trainer T. Dougall advised that he will speak to connections in coming days in regards to racing future of the mare. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
HUMDRUM – Leaving the 200m, had to be steadied when RUMBA LARRA shifted in. Jockey J. King (RUMBA LARRA)  was reprimanded.
 
PARELEMA – Steadied momentarily near the 1000m.
 
MISS MILES – Raced wide throughout.
 
LAKE ARGYLE – Raced wide throughout.
 
BROWN LINES – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
BENEVOLENT LAD – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout.
 
MOUNTAIN RETREAT- Began awkwardly and lost ground. Held up rounding the home turn until the 100m, than commenced to lay in, proving difficult to ride.
 
BRAX – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
 
RACE 3: WESTERN DOWNS REGIONAL COUNCIL WAMBO CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200M
FLAVIAN – Shifted in abruptly shortly after the start.
 
KING COBIA – Steadied rounding the hometurn.
 
BAKER BOY – Raced wide throughout. On return to scale jockey B. Derbyshire advised it was her intentions to find a position close to the lead however was caught wide and was unable to secure cover despite her efforts.
 
GUD ONYA – Commenced to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
RACE 4: KELLCO LIVESTOCK/WARWICK CREDIT UNION/WINDSOR HOTEL QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000M
 
Start of the race was delayed when ELEGANT MISS proved difficult to load.
 
CRAIGLEA SECRET – Slow to begin.
 
SPEZIA LADY  - Raced wide throughout. Commenced to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
DREAM CAPTAIN – Near the 600m raced in restricted room and had to be checked.
 
 
RACE 5: LANDMARK/CARRICK ALAND ACCOUNTANTS/SINGH TRANSPORT BENCHMARK 50 HCP 1000M
 
HIZOU – Near the 600m raced in restricted room and had to be checked. Held up momentarily entering the home straight.
 
DANGEROUS DANICA – Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
SONADOR CELLAR – Began awkwardly, shifting out.
 
MAN OVERBOARD – Began awkwardly, shifting in.
 
CHAMPAGNE WARRIOR – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
 
JEPTOO – Raced wide throughout.
 
JETTY BETTY  - Jumped with its head in the air and lost ground.
