QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT BETOOTA RACE CLUB SATURDAY 31ST AUGUST 2024 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – DIRT OFFICIALS Stewards – S Coulthard (Chair), P Anderson. GENERAL The following horses were scratched by order of stewards at 10am due to no riders being available.Race 4: MATHEMATICS Race 5: GRINZINGER BISHOP (NZ), LORD PERCY Race 6: RHUMBADU Race 1:VIPER WATER SOLUTIONS / CAMRANDALE TRANSPORT BENCHMARK 50 HCAP AWEN (IRE) – Laid in under pressure early in the home straight. Apprentice jockey Dakota Gillett pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for the use of her whip 10 times prior to the 100m. Miss Gillett’s license was suspended to ride in races for 8 days commencing M/N 7/09/2024 to M/N 15/09/2024. ZEITAKUNA – Slow to begin. Race 2:SANTOS LTD QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200M DESERT SAFARI – Apprentice jockey D Gillett reported her mount had a tendency to lay in early and then laid out under pressure in the home straight. KIPSAMO – Laid in under pressure throughout the home straight. MISTER – Blundered on jumping and the rider become unbalanced, as a result was slow to begin. Race 3:BROOK PASTORAL RATINGS BAND 0 - 60 HANDICAP 1000M STARLITE REBEL – Slow to begin. Jockey J Keating reported that the mare was disadvantaged at the start due to a malfunction with the barrier gates when opening. Due to there only being 4 starters, AR204 was therefore not applicable and the mare was declared a runner. Prior to race 4 maintenance was carried out on the barriers to ensure the gates were operating correctly. Race 4:BRUCE AIR & ELECTRICAL OPEN HANDICAP 1000M THE HANGER CAT – Slow to begin. Laid in over the concluding stages. EL MAGNIFICENCE – Slow to begin. Race 5:BETOOTA ADVOCATE BETOOTA CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600M SACCHARO – Slow to begin. Apprentice jockey Dakota Gillett pleaded guilty to a charge under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) for the use of her whip 14 times prior to the 100m. Miss Gillett’s license was suspended to ride in races for 14 days from M/N 15/09/2024 to M/N 30/09/2024 which is cumulative to the suspension incurred in race one. WARRAH FLASH – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. FUSAICHI FAMILY – Laid out under pressure down the home straight. Race 6:GBA CONSULTING ENGINEERS BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 800M KARATEMISS – Forced wider on jumping when bumped by JET STREAM. JET STREAM – Shifted out on jumping bumping KARATEMISS.
