Race 1: HEWITT COMPANY QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1050m
 
 
I AM BOLT- Slow to begin.
 
 
ELECTRIC SPIRIT- Slow into stride. Raced wide in the middle and latter stages.
 
 
I AM JIMMY- Raced wide throughout.
 
 
LAYLAH’S WISH- Raced greenly in the home straight.

 
ALLELUIA- Travelled wide with cover in the early stages.
 
Race 2: LAMBERT STUD QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1050m
 
 
DEEP MILLIONS- Travelled wide in the early stages.

DREYFUS- Blundered on jumping and as a result was slow to begin. Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
VALIANT JOAN- Travelled wide with cover.
 
 
HOT CHOCOLATE- Slow into stride.
 
Race 3: SWAN HILL CATTLE COMPANY COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1050m
 
AHWAHNEECHEE- Raced wide for the majority.
 
HIGH COST- Travelled wide with cover throughout.
 
KALASHNIKOV- Dipped near the 800m.
 
ZUKAZ- Awkward to begin.
 
LITTLE TOWN BLUES- Raced in restricted room near the 300m and failed to run on thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a slow post-race recovery. Trainer B Newport was advised the gelding would require a vet certificate prior to next trial or race.
 
 
IN’HINCHABLE- Fractious prior to start.
 
FIELD OF ROSES- Slow to begin.
 
Race 4: FOREST PARK SANTAS MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
 
COLONEL VON TRAPP- Knuckled on jumping almost dislodging rider.
 
WANTED NED- Slow to begin. Travelled wide throughout. Lost contact with main body of the field in the middle stages.
 
I’M FREE- Knuckled on jumping almost dislodging rider.
 
RIGHT ON RALPHY- Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
HERES’S HARRY- Knuckled on jumping almost dislodging rider.
 
 
 
Race 5: CLARENDEN CATTLE CO. BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1200m
 
HIGHGROUND- Travelled wide and hung out throughout the race. Trainer B Johnson advised they would experiment with gear changes prior to next start. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any major abnormalities.
 
 
 
TIDAL RUSH- Slow to begin.
 
FREDDIE EDDIE- Laid out down the home straight when placed under pressure.
 
BRILLIANT MELODY- Dipped on jumping.
 
COLHOUN- Travelled wide in the early stages.
 
SHARPAY RULER- Slow to begin. Near the 100m was momentarily inconvenienced when FREDDIE EDDIE shifted out.
 
 
Race 6: BULL CREEK BEEF CLASS 3 PLATE 1400m
 
 
SIZZLESUN- Slow to begin and slow into stride.
 
 
ZIPPING IRISH- Travelled wide in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 7: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER / STRATHMORE BLACKALL CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400m
 
 
SMOOTH MOVE- Returned to mounting yard lame in the off-fore. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained tendon damage. Trainer D Rewald was advised that the horse would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next trial or race. Trainer D Rewald stated he would most likely retire the gelding from racing.
 
TYCOON ZIP- Attempted to buck soon after start, had to be restrained and lost ground. Trainer L Baker was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding.
 
HEYINGTON STATION- Raced wide early, restrained off heels approaching the 1000m whilst over-racing.
 
 
TOWER ROAD- Began awkwardly and lost ground. Travelled wide throughout.
