Race 1: Arabon & JJ Richards Class 1 Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – BOCEPHUS          2nd – LA DIOSA                 3rd – COBUNGRA BOY         4th – CAPE LUCK
 
Stewards inquired into the circumstances surrounding the engagements of Jockeys M Abe and A Coome for RAPIDSET and THE TEENY HASS respectively. After interviewing both Jockeys as well as Trainers Mr. I Shaw and Mr. L Wright it was established that miscommunication between the parties had resulted in confusion over the riding engagements. Stewards subsequently ordered that M Abe ride RAPIDSET and that THE TEENY HASS be withdrawn from the event at 12:25pm as no other Jockey was available to ride the mare at its allotted weight. As betting on the race had commenced, Stewards ordered that all monies wagered on THE TEENY HASS be refunded in full and further that all successful wagers placed on the event prior to 12:25pm be subject to deductions of 27 cents in the dollar win and 19 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket.   
 
CAPE LUCK – Was fractious in the barriers.
 
BOCEPHUS – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
SOUL SERENADE – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
WHO’S YOUR CADDY – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
RAPIDSET – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 2: Queens Beach Hotel & Landmark QTIS Maiden Plate 1100 metres:
1st – HARDEN UP PRINCESS      2nd – PEARLY AVENUE         3rd – BELMONT TURF BELLE
4th - JUSTIFICATION
 
JUCY LUCIE – Was fractious in the barriers. Bumped with another runner after beginning awkwardly.
 
PEARLY AVENUE – Jumped out at the start and bumped with another runner.
 
BELMONT TURF BELLE - Bumped with another runner on jumping. Was inclined to race ungenerously for a short distance passing the 900 metres after being crossed by another runner.
 
JUSTIFICATION – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 3: Browns Milk Supply & BP Merinda Benchmark 60 Handicap 1280 metres:
1st – WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR     2nd – ELITE ECHELON  3rd – MONTANA MAN   4th – DEE DOUBLEYOU
 
RHAEGO – Was slowly away.
 
WHITEHOUSE AFFAIR – Had to be restrained off heels after commencing to race keenly passing the 1000 metres.
 
BECCA THE JET – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
Race 4:  XXXX UON Nathan & Central Hotel Class B Handicap 1470 metres:
1st – CALL ME RINGO  2nd – EIGHTH COMMANDMENT  3rd – PARTY PIES      4th – GABONIA
 
IMA GONSKI – Was slowly into stride.
 
GABONIA - Was slowly into stride. Was inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages.
 
HELLO HARRA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 5: Industry Fire Services Bowen Cup Benchmark 65 Handicap 1810 metres:
1st – SUNBURY      2nd – FILLE VILAINE    3rd – ALL RIGGED UP      4th – ALDREN
 
SAPODILLA – Jumped out at the start and hampered another runner. Was inclined to hang out rounding the 1st turn.
 
SUNBURY – Was slowly away after being hampered by another runner on jumping.
 
FILLE VILAINE – Was slowly into stride.

Horses swabbed:  Winners of Races 1,3,4&5. Veterinarian Dr. D Viero reported that she had been unable to obtain a sample from Race 2 winner HARDEN UP PRINCESS after it became extremely fractious in the swab stall.
