Veterinarian – Dr S Kelly
Starter – P Moloney

Race 1 - Class B Handicap (1050 METRES)
DINNY’S A SUSPECT – Slow to begin.
COALBANK CAVALRY – Jumped in at the start bumping OUR SWEET LOVE.
DUREADY – When asked to comment on the performance, rider H Richardson stated the gelding never travelled throughout the event and when placed under pressure near the 600 metres failed to respond and was disappointing.  Trainer G Richardson advised DUREADY would now be sent for a spell.
OUR BOY BORRIS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
FREEDOM REIGNS – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
OUR SWEET LOVE – Bumped at the start and then slow to muster speed in the early stages.

Race 2 - QTIS Maiden Plate (1175 METRES)
Declaration of correct weight was delayed when L Birchley, trainer of fourth past the post BLUINDI, viewed the patrol footage over the final 100 metres.  After doing so, he elected to take the matter no further and correct weight was declared on the semaphored placings.
STORMZONE – Laid in under pressure over the final 100 metres obliging its rider to stop riding and straighten on two occasions.
BLUINDI – Raced in restricted room over the final 100 metres resulting in its rider being unable to fully test the gelding over the concluding stages.
ALL IN SYNC – Near the 1000 metres obliged to steady from the heels of STORMZONE which shifted in when not fully clear.  B Moffat, rider of STORMZONE, was advised to exercise greater care.  Crowded for room near the 600 metres when HALOHALEY hung in despite the efforts of its rider.
HALOHALEY – Slow to begin.  Hung in momentarily near the 600 metres.
MADAME TESS – Raced in restricted room near the 1000 metres and had to be steadied.

Race 3 - BAND 0 - 60 Handicap (1175 METRES)
On return to scale a protest was lodged by D Reynolds, trainer of second placegetter MISS BULITZ against first placegetter OAKFIELD COMANCHE, for alleged interference at the 1000 metres.  After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the patrol footage, Stewards found approaching the 1000 metres OAKFIELD COMANCHE laid in marginally despite the efforts of its rider and bumped MISS BULITZ.  A short distance later, when racing in restricted room between MISS BULITZ and MIRALIE, OAKFIELD COMANCHE again shifted in marginally crowding MISS BULITZ which had to be eased.  Bearing in mind where this incident took place and the long head margin, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that MISS BULITZ would have finished ahead of OAKFIELD COMANCHE and the protest was dismissed.
MIRALIE – Moved wider rounding the home turn which resulted in MISS BULITZ being bumped, becoming unbalanced and taken wider on the track.  Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the actions of L McCoy, rider of MIRALIE, at that point of the race to a time and date to be fixed to allow R Goldsbury to fulfill riding commitments at the Toowoomba meeting.
OAKFIELD COMANCHE – Hung in approaching the 1000 metres.  Laid out rounding the home turn.
MISS BULITZ – Hampered near the 1000 metres.  Taken wider rounding the home turn, was bumped and became unbalanced.

Race 4 - OPEN Plate (1175 METRES)
Declaration of correct weight was delayed when J Crompton, trainer of fourth past the post RITCHFORD, viewed the patrol footage over an incident near 200 metres.  After doing so, Ms Crompton elected to take the matter no further and correct weight was declared on the semaphored placings.
MUSIC SCENE – Bumped at the start and lost ground.
RITCHFORD – Hampered and lost ground near the 200 metres when GALAPAGOS improved into a narrow run to the inside of MAC’S GAL which, after making the home turn awkwardly and shifting out, shifted back in marginally.
WALSHIE – Jumped in at the start and bumped MUSIC SCENE.  Raced three wide with cover throughout.
GALAPAGOS – Held up behind MAC’S GAL rounding the home turn before a short distance later shifting in to obtain clear running near the 200 metres.
ALLENA – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
MAC’S GAL – Made the home turn awkwardly and laid out before a short distance later shifting back in.

SWEET VENOM – Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.

DAUNTING WARRIOR – The start was delayed when after being loaded into the barriers, the tongue tie on the gelding had to be refitted.
POINT THE WAGON – Laid out rounding the home turn.  Lost the near fore plate in running.
DESTINATION ROCKS – Raced three wide for the majority of the event without cover.
SANDY TOES – Raced three wide in the early stages.
