LACH’S POCKET – Was slowly into stride. NORTHERN FLASH – Was slowly into stride. MADE TO WIN – Was slowly into stride. Race 2: Downright Carpentry/Camooweal Roadhouse Benchmark 60 Handicap 1000 metres:1st – HEAD DRAGON 2nd – TARA IRONWOOD 3rd – COURT ACTION 4th – MASATAKA MASATAKA – Was unable to muster pace in the early stages. CRACK A COLDIE – Raced wide throughout. WORLD OF PAIN – Tired over the concluding stages. A post- race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr. P Miller advised that it is his intention to spell the gelding immediately. Race 3: Lloyd & Wendy Hick/Lindsay & Margaret Miller Class B Handicap 1000 metres:1st – BY EMTEEARE 2nd – AKHEILOS 3rd – READY TO DAZZLE 4th – LUCKY APACHE Stewards permitted Jockey A Spradau to ride HAPPY TO BE HERE 4 kilograms over the allotted weight when no other rider was available. Stewards permitted Jockey Ms. T Chambers to ride READY TO DAZZLE 2 kilograms over the allotted weight when no other rider was available. POTHOLES – Began awkwardly. CRAIGLEA SWIFT - Was slowly into stride. AKHEILOS - Was slowly into stride. HAPPY TO BE HERE - Was slowly into stride. LUCKY APACHE – Was inclined to race ungenerously in the early and middle stages due to resenting the kickback. Race 4: Georgina Pastoral Co/Post Office Hotel Camooweal Benchmark 50 Handicap 1200 metres:1st – SNAZZY SOX 2nd – SPLASH OUT 3rd – SO SURE 4th – EXTRA SUBOSAMI – Shifted out on jumping and bumped with another runner. MORE DUST – Was bumped by another runner which shifted out on jumping. STAR TRUCE – Was slowly away after beginning awkwardly with its head in the air. Raced wide throughout. Jockey Ms. T Chambers was fined the sum of $200.00 under the provisions of AR137A for using the whip on EXTRA on 8 occasions prior to the 100 metres. Jockey S Galvin was fined the sum of $100.00 under the provisions of AR137A for using the whip on SO SURE on 6 occasions prior to the 100 metres.
