Race 1- Emerald Grains Class B H’Cap 1000m-
Serene Saga- Declared a Late Scratching by order of the Stewards at 12:50pm after injuring itself on the float in transit to the track.  A Veterinary Certificate is required for Serene Saga prior to it next racing.
BURKETOWN LARRIKIN- Began awkwardly making contact with the barrier gate and then over raced during the middle stages of the event.
FROM ST ANDREWS- Dipped on jumping away and shifted out making contact with another runner.
THE PLAYROOM- Bumped at the start and made the home turn very wide.
SHES GOT CURVES- Began awkwardly losing significant ground.
JESSETTE- Was Vetted upon arriving at the barriers and passed fit to start. Slow to begin.
VANCOUVER STAR- Raced very wide on the home turn.
 
Race 2- PB AGRIFOOD BENCHMARK 65 H’Cap 1100m
THE ROBBER- Hung in despite the efforts of the rider near the 800m.
FORETOKEN- Placed in restricted room and was eased near the 800m.
COVERT CHARMOUR- Eased from heels near the 500m when shifted outwards by the rider to secure clear running.
REDDAMOUR- Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn.
 
RACE 3- RAY BUNCH MACHINERY QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & UP 1100M-
FAREWELL ANNA- Began awkwardly.
WIG WAM BAM- Jumped with its head in the air and then failed to muster early speed.
SEQUOIA MISS- Hung out in the middle stages.
TRIPLE WON- Jumped out at the start bumping another runner.
HE’LL BE RIGHT- Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
WILD ELEMENT- Raced wide in the middle stages.
PENNY A PITCH- We questioned regarding the improved performance trainer S McEwan reported that at the horses most recent start if failed to handle the sand racing surface, and for that reason when racing back on a grass surface today, she expected and improved performance.
 
RACE 4: PACIFIC SEEDS/ PURSEHOUSE RURAL CLIFTON CUP BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP 1580M-
CHILLI BEACH- Apprentice S Lacy was dislodged upon entering the starting stalls striking her mouth and jaw on the barrier upright. App Lacy was examined by the ambulance officials and passed fit to ride.
ARTISTIC CHOICE- Began awkwardly.
SAM DE HERO- Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.
EUPHORBIA- Raced wide throughout.
DINAS DRAGON- Shifted out under pressure in the home straight and was forced to steady to avoid the heels of VIRTUITY which shifted in marginally.
 
RACE 5: CLIFTON REAL ESTATE/ FLETON PRODUCE MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y-O & UP 1580M-
MAJOR BO- Tightened for room at the start.
HIDENA MAN- Tightened for room at the start.
MOLLY MIYAKO- Tightened for room at the start.
SAKEN- Bumped heavily at the start. Jockey B Appo reported to Stewards that due to the fact that he had been issued no specific instructions, and due to the slow early tempo, he allowed Saken to stride forward to the leading position and as a result settled in a more forward position than anticipated.
JAGNIWAS- Momentarily eased in the early stages when placed in restricted room.
