Race 1: TITLEY & Co. CLASS B HANDICAP 800 metres:
1st – DUNNY’S STAR    2nd – MISS MYSTIFIED 3rd – WHO’S YOUR CADDY      4th – OCEAN LINER
 
WHO’S YOUR CADDY - Began awkwardly and raced wide rounding home turn.
 
SNASYBIRD - Hung out from the 800 metres to the 600 metres. 
 
OCEAN LINER - Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
DUNNYS STAR - Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
Race 2: HAMMER & Co. EARTHMOVING OPEN HANDICAP 1000 metres:
1st – FIVE O’CLOCK      2nd – WHITSUNDAY EXPRESS 3rd – STANATHOL         4th – GESTICULATION
 
MORE THAN A SONG – Following an apparent below expectations performance Stewards interviewed the Jockey J Felix who advised that the gelding had failed to stretch out from the 900 metres despite his urgings.  Trainer Mr B. Williams advised that the gelding was having its first start on the track and this was against his wishes. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed swelling and lameness to right front leg. Trainer Mr B Williams was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding again starting in a race.
 
HEARTFELT QUEST – Upon return to scale Jockey K Aho advised that gelding commenced to lay in onto another runner at about the 800 metres and she was obliged to ease her mount to relieve the pressure.  She advised her mount over reacted to other runners to her outside. 
 
SERGEANT SHRIVER - Was tightened for room near the 800 meters as the result of another runner hanging in.
 
WHITSUNDAY EXPRESS – Stewards approved the late gear change of winkers replacing blinkers. Jockey D Sparks who was placed second by the Judge requested to view the photo of the finish prior to correct weight being declared. He was satisfied on the viewing and correct weight was declared.
 
STANATHOL - Jockey B. Thomson who was placed third by the Judge requested to view the photo of the finish prior to correct weight being declared. She was satisfied on the viewing and correct weight was declared.
 
Race 3: FORREST JEWELLERS QTIS BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400 metres:
1st – SUNNY CHIEF      2nd – MONTANA MAN   3rd – WATABETHEONE             4th – ULTRA RED
 
TIRYNS was a late scratching at 12.30pm as no rider was available. 
 
SONIC BOOMER was a late scratching at 12.30pm as no rider was available.

ULTRA RED - Slow to gather pace in the early stages and then forced to race wide from the 600 metres.
 
WANTABETHEONE - Slow to gather pace and then required to race wide from the 600 metres. 
 
ALAWA - Raced wide all the way and tired noticeably from the home turn.
 
Race 4: XXXX GOLD CHARTERS TOWERS AMATEUR CUP BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1600 metres:
1st – CRACOW  2nd – DON’T TELL PETE           3rd – FILLE VILLAINE   4th – MOJAVE ROYALE
 
CRACOW -  Became fractious in the barriers after being loaded. 
 
CORONATION JOURNEY - Fractious in the barriers after being loaded. Examined by the veterinary surgeon and passed fit to race. Treated post-race for minor skin wound. Rider advised that near the 400 metres she was inconvenienced, lost a stirrup iron and ground when another runner to her outside unexpectedly stepped inwards
 
MOJAVE ROYALE - Raced wide all the way
 
SHOW US A SMILE - Raced wide rounding the 1400 and 1200 metre turns.  Rider reported that near the 400 metres her mount unexpectedly stepped inwards resulting in the runner following getting onto her heels. No patrol footage of this incident was available and in the circumstances Jockey Aho was advised that she must take much more care.
 
DON’T TELL PETE - The rider and trainer of the gelding which had been placed second by the Judge requested to view the photo of the finish prior to correct weight being declared. They were satisfied on the viewing and correct weight was declared.
