Johnstone advised that last start at Roma, when having the first start for his stable, he was satisfied with the horses run, when expecting it to win that event. He added that on that occasion he wagered significantly on the horse to be successful. He added that following this event he felt the horse had improved further in its work, and although he was surprised by today’s winning margin, he had again expected the horse to be successful in today’s event. Subsequent to the meeting Mr Johnstone further advised Stewards that the form from the Roma event had been franked as evidenced by CALCULATED RISK, which finished behind WHISKEY APPLE at Roma, going on to be successful at a provincial TAB meeting. Stewards noted Mr Johnstone’s explanation.
