QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CENTRAL WARREGO RACE CUB CHARLEVILLE - SATURDAY 18TH MAY 2024 WEATHER – Fine TRACK RATING – Sand RAIL – True OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – Fiona HartfordStewards – C Warren, T Preston GENERAL Stewards permitted the following overweights when no other suitable rider was available: Race 4- Jockey S Galvin + 1.5 kg. The following runners were declared late scratching by order of Stewards when no riders were available: At 12:00pm: Race 1 – LIMITED REALITY Race 2 – PARA PARK MAKEUPRace 5 – HOT SUNDAY At 4:00pm: Race 5 - SAINT MARTIN Stewards permitted the following late rider changes when no other rider was available: Race 2 – LEGISLATE was ridden by C Rogers BUGDEN was ridden by B RichardsonRace 4 – COYNES ROAD was ridden by B Newport JAKAMA was ridden by S Galvin Race1: 2024 RUSTY LANE/CONTAINERS FOR CHANGE QTIS BENCHMAR 55 HANDICAP (1000m) Declaration of correct weight was delayed to allow Jockey C Rogers (BAG OF WHIT) to view footage of the start. After viewing the footage Jockey Rogers was satisfied that no grounds were present to be declared a non-runner and Stewards subsequently declared correct weight on the Judges numbers. VAST KAMA- Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure down the running. VOLDEMORT- Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. KARBORS- Began awkwardly. Laid out under pressure near the 200m. BAG OF WHITT- Began very awkwardly before being crowded and losing ground. Raced wide for the majority. REAL HUSSEY- Began awkwardly. THE RATTLESNAKE- When asked to comment on the performance App T Orr advised that, in his opinion, his mount resented the sand kickback in running. WITHOUT SHAME- Raced wide for the majority. REBEL REBELLION- Began awkwardly. Raced wide for the majority. SEEBURG- Raced wide for the majority. Race 2:MEL SCHUMACHER ‘CELEBRATION OF AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE’ BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP (1200m) HEAT- Blundered on jumping. App S McCann advised that after beginning awkwardly her mount resented the kickback in running after being obliged to settle further back in the field than intended. LEGISLATE- Fractious in the barrier. Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure leaving the 200m. BUGDEN- Blundered on jumping. Shifted wider rounding the home turn. Laid in under pressure down the running. Race 3:2024 ARTAN CARE PTY LTD MAIDEN PLATE (1200m) GUTHO- Tightened on jumping and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority. JAMICAN- Tightened on jumping. Laid in under pressure down the running. Raced wide for the majority. JULIMAR- Began awkwardly and bumped. MR MEDIA- Under pressure from the 600m. Raced wide for the majority. ROGUE ARTIST- Began awkwardly and bumped. EDWARDS- Began awkwardly and bumped and raced wide for the majority. Laid in under pressure down the running. ATLANTIC LACE- Slow to begin. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. VERALISE- Began awkwardly and bumped. HAIRY BEAN- Began awkwardly and bumped. Race 4:2024 JANE BAKER MEMORIAL CHARLEVILLE NEWMARKET/BATTLE OF THE BUSH CHARLEVILLE QUAL OPEN HANDICAP (1200m) NICK THE SKIP- When asked to comment on the below market performance Jockey L Tilley advised that, in his opinion, the gelding was over-represented in the market. Trainer C Baker concurred with Jockey Tilleys assessment adding that the stable were not disappointed with the performance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. PARKO- Momentarily inconvenienced on entering into the home straight. App T Orr dropped his whip approaching the wining post. STAMPEDE WARRIOR- Began awkwardly. UNRESTRICTED- Raced keenly in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority. MISS HOFF- Slow into stride. JAKAMA- Stewards permitted Jockey S Galvin to ride the gelding 1.5kg over its allocated weight when no other suitable rider was available. Began awkwardly and was tightened on jumping. CRAIG AND HOFF- Bounded in the air as the start was effected. Raced wide for the majority. LAURIE- Began awkwardly and bumped. Laid in near the 600m. KAZZ’A JET- Began awkwardly and bumped. Laid in under pressure rounding the home turn momentarily inconveniencing PARKO. Laid in under pressure down the running, proving somewhat difficult to ride out over the concluding stages. Following the running of this event Jockey B Richardson was examined by QAS officers and deemed unfit to fulfil her remaining engagements due to aggravation caused to a previous upper leg injury. Jockey Richardson was advised she would require a medical clearance prior to again being permitted to start in a race. Race 5:BRUCE AIR & ELECTRICAL / WARREGO EARTH WORKS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP (1400m) HANOVER SQUARE- Raced wide for the majority. PESHWA- Shifted out rounding the home turn. COYNES ROAD- Began awkwardly. MAGICAL SLIPPER- Commenced to tire from the 400m. MORICONI- Raced wide for the majority. WARRAH FLASH- Raced wide rounding the home turn. Laid in passing the 200m. SAINT MARTIN- Stewards permitted the late scratching of the gelding at 4pm when no suitable riders were available.
