Apprentice A. Taylor was fined $200 under AR.190(3), were stewards permitted her to ride 1kg overweight on TEYA in race two due to no other suitable rider being available.
 
Apprentice A. Taylor was fined $400 under AR.143(14)(a) for failing to claim her full allowance on three of her engagements.
 
Race 1: SPECIALITY SERVICES QLD MAIDEN PLATE – 1030m
 
The start of race one was delayed to allow a secondary track inspection to be undertaken after there was found to be a section of the track near the 100m that was wetter than the remainder of the track. Stewards requested a delegation of riders inspect the affected area, following which, the unanimous view of the riding group was that the tract was suitable for racing.
 
The amended start time was 1:56pm
 
MY BOY MISCHKE – Laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
TAXI CRAB – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
DONKEY KONG – Slow to begin.
 
INSIDE INFORMATION – Hung out rounding the home turn. Apprentice S. Lacy was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m.
 
BOLD ADMIRAL – Began awkwardly.
 
MADAME TESS – Knuckled at the start and lost ground.
 
 
 
 
Race 2: BETTA HOME LIVING BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1030m
 
The start time of this race was amended to 2:35pm
 
The declaration of correct weight was delayed when the connections of THE CONSIGLIERE made application for the gelding to be declared a non-runner. After viewing the available patrol footage, stewards made the determination that as the start was effected THE CONSIGLIERE’S barrier failed to open, forcing the runner to take no competitive part in the event. Stewards subsequently ordered that the gelding be declared a non-runner, ordering that all monies invested in THE CONSIGLIERE be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
 
3 cents in the dollar for the win #1
7 cents in the dollar for the place of winner #1
19 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter #4
15 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter #6
 
ATOMIC MISSILE – Slow to begin.
 
PAT’S GIRL – Upon returning to scale, apprentice A. Taylor reported that her saddle slipped passing the 800m and as a result, she had difficulty riding her mount out throughout the remainder of the event.
 
GOSSIAUX – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 
Race 3: CHINCHILLA LOAM & GRAVEL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1200m
 
The start of this race was amended to 3:10pm
 
MAYFAIR LADY – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
SHEINDLIN – Made contact with the inside barrier partition upon jumping and lost ground. Upon returning to scale, apprentice I. Rabjones reported that she had sustained an injury to her right foot. Apprentice Rabjones was advised she would require a medical certificate prior to returning to riding. 
 
RINGO’S MAGIC – Raced in restricted room for a short distance shortly after the start.
 
 
 
 
Race 4: STAYOVER ON ZELLER MAIDEN PLATE – 1400m
 
No Racing Incidents.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 5: COMMERCIAL HOTEL OPEN PLATE – 1400m  
 
ALERT BY SEA – Raced wide without cover throughout.
