Race 1: CFMEU Class B Handicap 1000m
 
Upon arrival to the course Trainer J Manzelmann reported to stewards that his horse, AIRLIE BEACH, had rubbed the near side rump in the float and sustained a laceration to the off side rump. It was subsequently scratched on veterinary advice at 12:20pm.
 
BENJI – Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
GORGEOUS GAL – Slow into stride. Approaching the 600m, appeared to resent the dust and raced ungenerously for a short distance.
 
 
Race 2: Issac Regional Council QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
 
Stewards accepted the explanation with regards to the dual engagement of Jockey M Haley.
 
MAN OF HOPE – Jumped out onto the hindquarters of DIGIT. Tightened shortly after the start when DIGIT laid in which resulted in MAN OF HOPE having to be steadied. When positioned at the rear of the field, raced ungenerously as a result of the dust and had to shifted wider and raced wide for the remainder.
 
DIGIT – App. E Smith was advised to use a greater effort to prevent her mount from laying in.
 
SOME SUNNYDAY – From the 300 metres shifted out under pressure and was unable to be ridden out as a result.
 
 
Race 3: Blair Athol Coal Class 4 Handicap 1200m
 
THE CATHOLIC GIRL – Scratched due to no available rider at 8:18am.
 
BANSHEE JET – As no other suitable rider was available, Jockey M Barnham was permitted to ride 2kg over the allotted weight. Stewards will seek an explanation from Trainer S Sigvart.
 
ZAHA EXPRESS – Began awkwardly jumping in onto SPURSYN and became unbalanced for a number of strides.
 
Race 4: Garraway Group Ratings Band 0 – 60 Handicap 1400m
 
OZEIN – Scratched due to no available rider at 8:18am.
 
ENEMY OF MAN – From the 300 metres commenced to give ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to show any significant abnormalities. When questioned regarding performance the rider stated that the horse had raced strongly in the early stages and had begun to weaken from the 300 metres. App. E Bell was cautioned with regard to use of her whip when out of contention.
 
 
Race 5: Lund Grain and Stockfeed Clermont Country Open Plate 1400m
 
Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Jockey C McIver viewed the photo finish image for third placing. After doing so, he was satisfied as to the judges placings and correct weight was declared.
 
DANCHAI – Rider dropped whip at the 450 metres.
