Race 1: Lowes Petroleum Maiden Plate 1000 metres:
1st – STAR OF ISAAC                 2nd – ALLUDER              3rd – NORTHERN FLASH            4th – ISPAHAN
 
Stewards permitted Jockey J Esser to ride PURE FETISH 1.5 kilograms over the allotted weight when no other rider was available.
 
VEGANER – Was slowly away.
 
REDAQUA – Was reluctant to stretch out early due to resenting the kickback.
 
MADE TO WIN – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
PURE FETISH – Shifted in marginally under pressure near the 150 metres inconveniencing another runner.
 
SOME EXCEL – Was inconvenienced near the 150 metres by another runner which shifted in marginally. Jockey S Galvin reported that the bit had pulled through the gelding’s mouth passing the 900 metres placing him at a severe disadvantage for the remainder of the event. Trainer Mr. K Laffin advised Stewards that it is his intention to implement a gear change prior to the gelding’s next race start.
 
Race 2: Leichhardt Hotel Class B Handicap 1000 metres:
1st – DAMGOODCHOICE                2nd – SMART CRAFT            3rd – YOUR WAY OR MINE         4th – AKHEILOS
 
Stewards permitted Jockey J Esser to ride YOUR WAY OR MINE 2 kilograms over the allotted weight when no other rider was available.
 
Stewards fined Trainer MR. D Smith the sum of $100.00 under the provisions of AR.140.A after YOUR WAY OR MINE was presented carrying the incorrect saddle cloth.
 
LUCKY APACHE – Was slowly away.
 
AKHEILOS - Was slowly away.
 
DUPAIR – Raced greenly throughout.
 
BEA BINGLE – Raced greenly throughout.
 
ALAMEIN AVENUE – Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 3: Joe & Pauline Bakhash Memorial Class 6 Plate 1200 metres:
1st – REGAL CONSERVE          2nd – SMOOTH ELEMENT         3rd – TESTAMYCOLOURS         4th – SPLASH OUT
 
Stewards permitted Jockey S McCullum to ride WHISPER WILLOW 1 kilogram over the allotted weight when no other rider was available.
 
BEAUDRAGON became fractious in the barriers, dislodging Jockey S Galvin who sustained a left ankle injury and was transported to Cloncurry Hospital rendering him unable to fulfil his remaining commitment. Stewards ordered the withdrawal of BEAUDRAGON at 2:37pm and that all monies wagered on the gelding be refunded in full. Further, Stewards ordered that all successful wagers placed prior to the withdrawal of BEAUDRAGON be subject to deductions of 47 cents in the dollar win and 25 cents in the dollar place on the face value of the betting ticket. 
 
MAGNIFICENT SHOW – Was slowly into stride.
 
TESTAMYCOLOURS – Was slowly into stride.
 
WILL’S CHOICE – Was slowly into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
Jockey K Ballard, who was dislodged from SMOOTH ELEMENT behind the barriers, reported to Stewards following the conclusion of the race meeting that he was experiencing some soreness in the left shoulder and in the right buttock.
 
Race 4: John Bulley & Judy Keyes Memorial QTIS Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres:
1st – CRAIGLEA SWIFT            2nd – CARRY TO GOLD            3rd – GOOD MOOD       4th – MR ROCKARD
 
Stewards permitted Jockey T Chambers to ride SUBOSAMI 1.5 kilograms over the allotted weight when no other rider was available.
 
WILKER, which was to have been ridden by S Galvin was a late withdrawal at 2:50pm when no other suitable rider was available. As betting on the event had not commenced no deductions were applicable.
 
OMEGA – Was very slowly away. Trainer Ms. T Parry was advised that a warning would be placed on the geldings barrier manners.
 
SUBOSAMI – Was slowly away.
 
GOOD MOOD –Was wide at the home turn and down the running.
 
Race 5: Chinova Resources Benchmark 60  Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – CHASING THE DRAGON               2nd – MOJAVE ROYALE           3rd – MAHONGA               4th – SHOW US A SMILE
 
MINTARO – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Trailled the field throughout. Trainer Mr. G Tipping was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding which raced uncompetitively.
 
CHASING THE DRAGON - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
DIURNAL TIGER - Bumped with another runner on jumping.
 
FRISCO JOURNEY - Was wide at the home turn and down the running.
 
TIRYNS - Raced wide without cover for the majority.
 
Race 6: Brodie Hardware Cloncurry Cup Open Handicap 1400 metres:
1st – OLLIE RUNS RIOT            2nd – GOLDEN METEOR           3rd – MOSSALE    4th – HOLEY GADOLEY
 
Stewards permitted Jockey D Ballard to ride OLLIE RUNS RIOT 1.5 kilograms over the allotted weight when no other rider was available.
 
GOLDEN METEOR – Was awkwardly positioned to the inside of other runners in the early and middle stages. Had to be taken wide at the home turn to obtain clear running.
 
WHAT THE HECK – Raced wide without cover throughout.
