Race 1: ALL FLEX AUSTRALIA RATINGS BAND 0 – 45 HANDICAP 1000 metres:
1st – HONEY CAT       2nd – TUNING 3rd – STAR OF ISAAC            4th – MORE GEORGE


TOP DECISION – Declared a late scratching at 12.15pm when no rider was available.
 
Jockey A Spradau who had accepted the ride on EXTRA was unable to make the weight and as no other rider was available Stewards allowed him to ride the gelding overweight.  He was fined $100.00 for a breach of AR 120(b).
 
ASUSA - Jumped high in the air as the gates opened losing ground. Raced wide all the way. 
 
SWITCH POINT - Jumped outwards onto another runner as the start was effected. 
 
LUCKY APACHE – Bumped by another runner on jumping. 
 
TUNING – Jumped inwards onto another runner as the start was effected.
 
MORE GEORGE - Was crowded between runners on both sides as the start was effected, losing some ground. 
 
EXTRA - Raced wide all the way.     

Race 2: MORT & CO LIVESTOCK Benchmark 60 HANDICAP 1000 metres:
1st - WILKER  2nd – BUSH LAWYER            3rd – SMART CRAFT 4th – SHADOWS OF SIN


SHADOWS OF SIN - Jumped outwards as the start was effected and then immediately blundered. 
 
SMART CRAFT – Was restless in the barriers and marginally slow to go and was then tightened for room between runners. Raced wide rounding the home turn. 
 
DREAMWARD BOUND – Was contacted by another runner on jumping. 

Race 3: PUMA ENERGY AUSTRALIA Benchmark 50 HANDICAP 1200 metres:
1st – BELEM GREY    2nd – SPLASH OUT   3rd – POTHOLES        4th – CARRY TO GOLD
 
TIRYNS was a late scratching at 12.10pm as no rider was available. 
 
MORE DUST was a late scratching at 11.45am as no rider was available. 
 
BELEM GREY - Jumped awkwardly. 
 
CARRY TO GOLD - Jumped inwards onto another runner and was crowded for room between runners resulting in being slow to muster speed. 
 
SPECK OF GOLD - Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
WHISPER WILLOW - Bumped on jumping. 
 
SNAZZY SOX – Raced wide most of the way. 
 
BY EMTEEARE - Raced wide rounding the 800 metres.
 
WHISPER WILLOW - Raced wide rounding the home turn.

Race 4: GARY CANNON MEMORIAL Class 6 PLATE 1200 metres:
1st – CHASING THE DRAGON           2nd - SMOOTH ELEMENT      3rd – HEAD DRAGON            4th - CHOMARU


Jockey A Spradau who had accepted the ride on BEAUDRAGON was unable to make the weight and as no other suitable rider was available Stewards allowed him to ride the gelding overweight.  He was fined $200.00 for a breach of AR 120(b).  
 
BEAUDRAGON - As the start was effected reared causing the rider to lose his stirrup irons, unseating the rider, almost dislodged him and then took no part in the race. Stewards advised Trainer Mr. J. Morris that the gelding must successfully complete two barriers trials before again starting in a race.
 
HEAD DRAGON -  Near the 800 metres was tightened by another runner laying in. Stewards observation and patrol footage showed the rider of the other runner had made every effort to avoid the situation. 
 
CHASING THE DRAGON – Laid in despite the efforts of its rider near the 1000 metres.

Race 5: K & R CONTRACTING Class B HANDICAP 1400 metres:
1st – AMERICAN AT SEA       2nd – MADE TO WIN  3rd – MR ROCKARD   4th – SMILING MISTRESS
 
FAST TRACK MAGIC was a late scratching at 11.15am as no rider was available.
 
PURFLEET PRINCESS was a late scratching at 11.15am as no rider was available.
 
TIME AND CHANGE – Slow to gather pace and raced wide most of the way and tired noticeably in the straight. 
 
NORTHERN FLASH - Slow to gather pace and raced wide most of the way and tired noticeably in the straight. 
 
MUSCAT -  Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
SMILING MISTRESS -  Raced wide at the 1200 metres.   
 
AMERICAN AT SEA -  Stewards interviewed rider regarding the reason for the mare leading for first several hundred metres and then settling well back in the field.  Rider advised she had been instructed not to lead and had complied with the riding instructions.  From the 400 metres the mare had finished the race off very well.  Stewards accepted the explanation.
