GENERAL :
 
Due to todays high temperature forecast this meeting was conducted under the provisions of the Racing Queensland Level 2 Heat Policy.
 
RACE 1: ALLFLEX AUSTRALIA RATING BANDS 0 – 55 H’CAP – 1000M
 
THANKYOU – Was declared a late scratching at 8.11am by order of Stewrads after Trainer T. Parry advised the mare refused to load onto its transportation.    
 
COBUNGRA BOY – Slow to begin.
 
FLAMINGO ROSE – Slow to begin.
 
MARINE ON PARADE – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race and shifted wider rounding the home turn.
 
HI MACKAY – Raced wide for the majorirty of the race.
 
APERTURE – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Rider A. Spradua was reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts right out to the winning post.
 
RACE 2: HONEYCOMBES SALES & SERVICE MAIDEN PLATE – 1200M
 
RISKY TRIO – Was declared a late scratching at 11.00am by order of Stewards when no suitable rider was available.
 
THE MARSHALL – Stewards accepted the expalnation tendered by Trainer R. Herman in regards to the late declaration of S. Galvin as the rider of the horse.
 
JUST PRETENDS – Stewards accepted the expalnation tendered by Trainer S. Gabriel-Royes in regards to the late declaration of S. Mossman as the rider of the gelding. Bumped by another runner at start and became unbalanced.
 
THE KING’S MAGIC – Began awkwardly and shifted inwards bumping another runner and lost ground.
 
SCIOLTA – Raced wide in the early and middle stages of the race.
 
GLUACAMOLE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SLEEPING SATELLITE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
RACE 3: CLONCURRY CONSTRUCTIONS RATINGS BAND 0 – 65 H’CAP – 1200M
 
NO ANGEL HERE – Put its head to the side as the start was effected and lost ground. Shifted wider rounding the home turn.
 
RACE 4: GARY CANNON MEMORIAL CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1200M
 
I AM HERCULES – Slow to begin. Shifted wider rounding the home turn.
 
DENLAGO – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start.
 
SAFDDIE – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Rider reported horse resented the kick-back.
 
SOLO MIO – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
INFINITE SUCCESS – Near the 200m became very awkward in its action almost dislodging its rider and as a result was severly checked. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer D. Ballard gave an undertaking to advise Stewards should anything come to her attention in the following days that may have had a bearing on todays performance.    
 
RACE 5: K & R CONTRACTING BENCHMARK 45 H’CAP – 1400M
 
SPLASH OUT – Began very awkwardly and shifted inwards making heavy contact with another runner.
 
MR ROCKHARD – Bumped heavily on jumping by another runner and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
HOTEL SLENDIDO – Slow to begin. Rider reported that in his opinion the mare failed to back up from its previous start.
