GENERAL
Due to predicted sultry weather conditions, this race meeting was conducted within the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for Racing Animals in Extreme Heat Policy.

Race 1 - CLONCURRY & DISTRICT RACE CLUB Maiden Plate (1000m)
MISHANI DUDE – Fractious in the barriers. Raced wide majority.
OUTDARE – Began awkwardly and bumped with another runner on jumping.
THE APPOINTED TIME – Slow into stride after being bumped by another runner jumping.
MAYARI – Raced wide majority.

Race 2 - THE JOE & PAULINE BAKHASH MEMORIAL Class 3 Plate (1000m)
FAVRA – Stewards acceded to a request made by Trainer J Morris that the gelding be permitted to race with Blinkers. This was announced by way of on-course broadcast. Crowded on jumping. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
CHRISTMAS CREEK – Stewards permitted jockey D Ballard to ride the gelding 0.5kg overweight as no other rider was available.
BEL’S DESIRE – Shifted out on jumping bumping with another runner.
FLASH HOMBRE – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide majority.
MACKELLAR’S VOICE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide majority.

Race 3 - THE GARRY CANNON MEMORIAL Class 1 Handicap (1200m)
LIZ’ DELIGHT - Stewards permitted jockey D Ballard to ride the mare 2.5kg overweight as no other rider was available. Knuckled on jumping.
DEVIL’S NUMBER – Raced wide majority.
OR ELSE – Raced wide majority.

Race 4 - CURLEY CATTLE TRANSPORT QTIS Class 6 Plate (1200m)
FA FA – Slow to begin. Raced wide majority.
SILENTUS – Slow to begin. Raced wide majority.
GLOBAL ROCKET – Stewards inquired into the circumstances involving Trainers representative Mr P Inwood saddling and presenting the incorrect horse to the mounting yard for pre-race inspection. Mr Inwood advised that he had erred by saddling and presenting WOTS WONG rather than GLOBAL ROCKET after becoming distracted by phone call. Subsequently, Trainer J Bawden as the Trainer of GLOBAL ROCKET was fined the sum of $500 under the provisions of AR227(a) for an act of negligence which could have led to a breach of AR99(b). Slow to begin.

BREAKDANCE – Slow to begin
SNIPPY STRATEGIC -Slow to begin. Raced wide majority.
THE BAKER – Raced wide rounding the home turn.

RISALDAR – Slow into stride after beginning awkwardly.
KING LANDON – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
