General:
Due to predicted sultry weather conditions, this race meeting was conducted within the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission Caring for “Racing Animals In Extreme Heat” Policy.
 
 
The following runner which has not raced for an extended period underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
Race 1: REGAL SPY
 
The following runners were scratched by order of Stewards at 11.am as no riders were available.
Race 1: LORD KENNY – SPOT ON SOPHIA – JUNGLEDELI.
Race 2:ELECTRIC HASHMAL – MR SQUIGGLE’S MATE – MISS BOUCHARD.
Race 3:DATINKA – FAR REACHING.
Race 5:COUNT OF CARFORD – DATINKA – JAKAZONE – FAR REACHING
 
 
 
Race 1: PACIFIC FULESOLUTIONS QTIS Maiden Plate 1000m
 
QUINSTEP GIRL – Slow to begin.
 
REGAL SPY – Blundered in the hind quarters at the 450 metres and lost ground.A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race2:  THE BAKHASH FAMILY CLASS B Handicap 1000m
 
 
HYPOTHESIZE – Jockey D Sparks reported that his left side riding boot spur became momentarily entangled on jumping with the offside stirrup iron on the saddle of OUR BENEFIT (N Yadi).
 
OUR BENEFIT – Shifted out on jumping.
 
KLONDIKE STRIKE – Crowded for room on jumping, Jockey J Barbarovich reported that he eased KLONDIKE STRIKE wider after this incident to avoid dust kick back.
 
LET’S GO THEN – Began awkwardly.
 
 
Race 3: CLONCURRY TYRES & BATTERIES Benchmark 60 Handicap 1200m
 
METAL ROCK – Raced throughout.
 
MINA’S LEGACY – Raced throughout.
 
REVVED UP READY – Raced wide.
 
Race 4: ASHTON DIESEL CONTRACTING OPEN Plate 1200m
 
The race was delayed 45 minutes from the advertised starting time due to a race day patron requiring the services of the Ambulance Officers and then transport to the local Hospital.
 
LAST DESCEND – Raced three wide throughout
 
HOPSTEP – Slow to begin and then raced wide.
 
THERESABEARINTHERE – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: AUZCOT CONSTRUCTIONS Benchmark 50 Handicap 1400m
 
The race time for this event was put back to 5.00 p.m.
 
PARISIAN LADY – Raced three wide throughout.
 
THE LAST CRUSADE – Slow into stride and then raced wide.
