Race 1: MORT & CO QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres:

Race 2: TROPIC PETROLEUM PATRON BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000 Metres:
1st – DON’T TELL PETE 2nd – MASATAKA 3rd – EQUAL RULER 4th – SPECK OF GOLD

STAR TRUCE was a late withdrawal at 9am when no rider was available.

When no other rider was available Jockey A Spradau was permitted to ride EQUAL RULER 2kg over its allotted weight.

When no other rider was available Jockey S McGovern was permitted to ride RAPID QUALO 1.5kg over its allotted weight.

TARA IRONWOOD – Shifted in very abruptly at the start despite the efforts of it’s rider and into the running of BOOT SHAKER who was severely checked and lost considerable ground. Jockey T Brummell advised Stewards that in his attempt to correct the mare the saddle slipped and he lost his near side iron placing him at a distinct disadvantage for the remainder of the race. Approaching the 800 metres carried HUGHIE AND ME wider. Trainer K Krogh was advised a warning would be placed on the mare for it’s racing manners.

Approaching the 700 metres RAPID QUALO (Jockey S McGovern) had to be steadied when crowded for room by DON’T TELL PETE (Jockey D Sparks) which shifted in when not quite clear. After reviewing the available patrol footage and taking evidence from the involved Jockeys Stewards issued Jockey D Sparks with a severe reprimand under AR137(a) and advised Jockey Sparks it his obligation to leave sufficient racing room for runners to his inside.

HUGHIE AND ME – Passing the 700 metres was carried wider on the track by another runner.

Race 3: BRODIE AGENCIES CORFIELD CUP BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP 1200 Metres:
1st – MOSSALE 2nd – REGAL CONSERVE 3rd – OLLIE RUNS RIOT 4th – HOLEY GADOLEY

When no other rider was available Jockey A Spradau was permitted to ride MOSSALE 1/2kg over its allotted weight.

REGAL CONSERVE – Shifted out abruptly at the start.

ARCATRAN – Upon return to scale Jockey D Sparks reported to Stewards the gelding was on the wrong lead for the duration of the event and added the gelding did not handle the firm track conditions.

Race 4: NORTHERN RURAL GROUP BRACELET BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1200 Metres:
1st – WULFWIN 2nd – LARABEE 3rd – MONTH OF SUNDAYS 4th – SUBOSAMI

AZUSA was a late withdrawal at 9am when no rider was available.

SWEENEY – Lost the offside front plate en route to the track. When the plate could not be found the remaining plate was removed and the gelding raced barefoot in front.

No racing incidents.

Race 5: COFFISON & SONS BULK FUEL CLASS B HANDICAP 800 Metres:
1st – CRACK A COLDIE 2nd – POTHOLES 3rd – MORE GEORGE 4th – SMART CRAFT

OCEAN LINER was a late withdrawal at 9am when no rider was available.

YOUR WAY OR MINE – After resuming from a lengthy spell underwent a prerace veterinary examination and was passed fit to start.

POWER BUTTON – After resuming from a lengthy spell underwent a prerace veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced wide throughout.
