CORFIELD AMATEUR TURF CLUB – SATURDAY 30th July, 2022.

Race 1: - MCQUEEN EARTHMOVING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres
OUR YOUNG MAN – On jumping out bumped with FALVELON SKY.
FALVELON SKY- Bumped by another runner on jumping and was taken outwards and then raced wide for the majority.
RUN DANCE FLY - Performed below expectations.  Rider advised he was of the opinion the mare could have breathing problems. Veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities, but a scope examination was recommended before the mare starts again.  Trainer K. Krogh was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness in reference to the recommendation is required prior to starting again.

Race 2:  - TROPIC PETROLEUM BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 1000 Metres. 
JAZZY’S ANGEL – Jumped awkwardly, was then slow into stride and tailed the field throughout.
THAT SONG – Began awkwardly and at the 200 metres bumped with another runner.
CADENCE – Race wide for the majority. 
SCARPA – Raced wide throughout, bumped with another runner at the 200 metres, 
 
Race 3: - CORELLA CATTLE COMPANY BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400 Metres.  
BLADE MAN – Reluctant to load into the barriers.  Rider R. McMahon was fined $200, AR132(7)(a)(ii) applied whip on 7 (2 more than permitted) occasions prior to the 100m.  
DO I HAVE TO – Raced wide in the early stages.
INJUSTICE - Raced wide in the early stages and rounding the home turn.
CHAMBERLAIN – Ridden wide from a wide barrier draw in the early stages of the race in order to obtain a forward position. 
MARVELOCITY – Slow to begin and raced wide for the majority.  Rider reported the gelding resented the kickback. 
Near the 200 metres STAR TWINKLE (Ms E Bell) was disappointed for a run between CHAMBERLAIN (R. FAEHR) and DO I HAVE TO (J, Felix) when the gap between those horses narrowed causing STAR TWINKLE to be eased and then switch to the outside of DO I HAVE TO in order to obtain clear running.  Riders Felix and Faehr were both questioned in relation to the shifts by their respective mounts and were each   subsequently advised to exercise more care in such situations in the future. 

Race 4 - BRODIE AGENCIES CORFIELD CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400 Metres
HEMMERLE – Tightened for room at the start when slowly away.  Rider advised the gelding resented the kickback.  Performed below expectations.  Veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant findings.  Veterinary certificate of clearance required prior to next start. 
MYOLA MILLY – inclined to lug in down the back straight. 
DUKES COUNTY – Raced wide in the early and middle stages. 
LUBUK -Raced wide rounding the home turn.   
 
Race 5: - NORTHERN RURAL GROUP BRACELET BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP   1200 metres. 
SPOTTED WONDER – Slow to begin and raced wide throughout. 
ROYAL CONFESSION – Slow to begin. 
TATACHILLA – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6: - COFFISON & SONS BULK FUEL Class B HANDICAP 800 Metres. 
 TINNY TIARA – Was a late scratching at 1.30pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice following Trainer S. Royes reporting that the mare had sustained leg injuries whilst being transported to the track.  Stewards advised Trainer S. Royes that a veterinary certificate of fitness to race is required prior to the mare starting again.
TIDAL FORCE - Was ridden by Ms E.Bell following the scratching of TINY TIARA.
BIG TALK – Shifted in on jumping, bumping.
ONE MORE FIELD – Bumped by another runner resulting in being tightened for racing room. 
BOSSUKA – Shifted out on jumping bumping with BEL’S DESIRE. 
BEL’S DESIRE – Bumped by BOSSUKA on jumping.

Summary of action concerning licensees.
Race 3, Rider R. McMahon was fined $200 AR132(7)(a)(ii) applied whip on 7 (2 more than permitted) occasions prior to the 100m.

Bans. 
Race 1. RUN DANCE FLY – Veterinary clearance required PTNS.
Race 4.  HEMMERLE – Veterinary clearance required PTNS.
Race 6.  TINY TIARA was a later scratching at 1.30pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice. Veterinary clearance required PTNS.
Horses swabbed:  - All winners. 
Late Scratchings
The following horses were scratched by Stewards owing to no riders being available,
Race 1. SINGLE MALT.
RACE 2. LOUIE THE LEGEND, I’M CALLIN’ DIBS.
RACE 3.  JAKAZONE (which was a dual acceptor), VOLCANIC and KING LANDON (NZ).
Race 5. JAKAZONE (which was a dual acceptor), NITRO CITY. 
Race 6. BUDDHA, THAT’S A DREAM, and MADONNA FALLS (NZ)
             Further late scratching.
TINY TIARA was a late scratching at 1.30pm by order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice. 
Summary of rider changes/Late notifications
Race 6.  Ms E. Bell rode TIDAL FORCE following the scratching of TINY TIARA.
